Reminds me of good old Dark Alliance - Baldurs Gate , but it's very old game (just my flashback to childhood)

oh yeah, good old Baldurs Gate, i loved that game. Reminds me of it as well, PoE has similar exteriors.

tigerr pretty much said it, I bought D3 at the instance it came out, played it for two months, got bored and passed it over to friend, than another friend and another. Now it is like my 6th friend playing D3 and not much liking it, and eventually I get tired of passing it over and just sell it for crap to some kid. And hey, it's not that expensive tbh.

I think the biggest benefit of PoE is tat literally everything people complained about in D3 is somehow fixed or reworked. It's downside on the other hand is its complex difficulty throughout the game.

This rocks my series world really, best series I have ever seen (with MASH of course :) )
It tells the story about 50yrs old chemistry teacher diagnosed with lung cancer (although he never really smoked), with unplanned baby on the way and disabled son. He struggles to earn some extra money and with that level of depression he tries to cook meth (with one of his drop-out students).
The series is about complete change of the teacher's character from the family man to the evil, outcast drug lord. Go check it out, it's more  than meets the eye.
Also, the actors in the series win EMMY every year fot ir. It is said to be the best series currently aired on AMC (with Walking Dead).

Sup,
I'm just wondering if anyone is playing Path of Exile. It is currently in Closed beta but it is going into open Beta in December. For those who like hardcore RPGs and were somehow dissapointed of Diablo 3 (but yet loved D2), this is the way to go.
It takes a little time to get used to (especially getting used to the fact it has NO currency in it) and also getting a grasp on skill tree, but it is a hell of a fun and the developement team is great with the player community (see their YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/grindinggear).
I am currently lvl32 Shadow and if you dont want to wait, you can buy early access pack for 10$ and play instantly (I spent 10$ in much more idiotic way so buyng this one is cool :) ). I also have somke lower lvl characters in different leagues so feel free to join me ingame.
Cheers

General Discussions / Re: about resetting scores
« on: November 08, 2012, 10:50 »
Who said Dota1 is dying? I played several Dota2 games and it sucks ass in my opinion, simply because the dev team opt to choose the way of simplification (=making it available to wide spectrum of players, which on one hand I unterstad from the point of view of developers and advetisers, but on the other hand it degrades every game/product down to "casual" box). Then only thing I dig about Dota2 is sound set. That is cool.

Anyway back to topic - I totally understand the disappointment of some players when the stats were reseted. It was ok when Dota1 was played in "seasons", players were kinda ok with that, new season = clean sheet. But after that mayor change in bot a lot of ppl expected this change to be permanent. As retarded as it may sound, a virtual value of 1000, 2000, 3000 games in stats of some player can be enormous.
I dont give crap about those stats, but to be honest I would like to have (at least) an archive place/link where I could review all the games I played in last 5 years and figure out how much time I actually spent on playing Dota :)
Might as well kill me.

General Discussions / Re: National Racism at its finest
« on: September 10, 2012, 12:19 »
NATIONAL RACISM? Is it just me or do I see a half of the people in this thread unable to distinguish between racism and discrimination?
I mean,
- if a job interview to a factory says "We require a men..", is this a racism or discrimination?
- if you rent your flat and you choose to rent it for your friends instead for some eastern europe peeps, is this racism or discrimination?
- if i put a WWII vet rally in US and the event says US only, am I what, a rest-of-the-world racist?
- if you are in a bar full of chicks and suddenly become a queer, girl approaches you and you tell her to take a hike, is this a what, a girl racism?
- if you create a NO TR game, is this racism or discrimination?

Because, although I generaly don't approve the whole racism thing, I'm down with discrimination at any levels. I discriminate every day, heck, sometimes every hour. By choosing what I want to do, with who and where I want to spend my time with, I discriminate by my own personal preferences I earned during my life. And I like it that waay.
And I know ALL of you do the same, knowingly or not.

So dont gimmie that NO TR NATIONAL RACISM alert bullshit, people just choose who they want to play Dota on pub with and so it happens TR is not much people's choice. Mine either. As well as MK.
Cheers.

got 1 awesome idea

don't play dota on fcking laptop..

Considering the fact you somehow see the core of the problem in a laptop while connected to wi-fi and having spikes in game, while suggesting to play Dota on PC, I probalby shouldn't bother to reply at this at all, but still:

- I haven't met a person unable to play Dota (a game running on almost 11 years old engine) due to old hardware. Everyone I met could install and play dota, low, medium or high detail, you name it. The discussion wether or not the PC is better than Laptop (or the other way) is for different discussion tho, imho it depends on each other's preferences. I play Dota on laptop since I began with it and never felt like playing it on the PC next to me. Mostly because I have my laptop with me 99% of the time.

- i don't know about the audience, but durability of motherboards on PCs and laptops (from my own experience) are in huuuge favor for laptops. I know lots of ppl and if someone's motherboard waltzes into the Silicon heaven, 90% of those are from PCs. I had to switch motherboard on my laptops like once on last 7 years. My ex-roommate and friend with pimped PC? Every goddamn year (mostly during christmass, not funny :) )

At the moment I have wireless connection on laptop cause the network board died.

I usually have below 100 ping, but I have spikes when ping rises above 100, getting me autokicked in lobby. If I think of it from 7 games out of 8 I get kicked in lobby for the ping spike.

In game I have no trouble whatsoever, do lag, no delay.

Except for hosting my own games, how can u get rid of those ping spikes ? I even tried moving my router a few cm from laptop and still same ping, only dl speed improved.

Try this, it helped me with ping issue I had on my laptop while connected thru wi-fi:
- according the type of laptop you have, turn off every manufacturer's additional driver (f.e.: Lenovo's Access Connections)
- right-click This Computer
- in Device manager, find Network adapters and find the name of your Wi-fi card, right-click and -> Properties
- in that wi-fi card's Properties, find Advanced tab and there look for Wireless Mode field, there should be something like
802.11 a only
802.11 b only
802.11 g only
- choose "B" or "G" only, see which one works for you better.

- network problems can be caused by sh*tloads of things. If you are connected to wi-fi, the logical way to go is to plug in a cable and try - that way you can determine, if it's a wi-fi modem-to-laptop problem or it's just your connection being twitchy on regular basis. Which you can't do atm, but you can check this with someone's other laptop.

Cheers, post results.

Offtopic / Re: GENERALS ONLINE PLAY
« on: August 15, 2012, 15:14 »
Im not sure about this guys - I mean sure, when infantry is spread, it's unstoppable, same goes for any GLA basically, but infantry vs. superweapon (or snipers in general)? Once snipers got promoted, they whiped out entire squad or angry mob in split second, no matter where you put them.

I remember lots of games where they just stood invis and shot towel heads or infantries like ducks and all you could hear was "tadadaaaa" trumpet for promotions. After a while, after you completely forgot about them, you moved around map and suddenly found a 3-star squad camping or pimpin around, completely forgotten, auto-attacking for 20 minutes, undetected.

I also remember my bastard friend who used to stack em in humwees, peak out of fog to shoot-distance, killed  all infantry in bunkers and pushed in.

Game has detected a mismatch.

Man I miss this game..

im for few cp-s. send me pm if u plan to play it,il join 100%

So am I, it reminds me that wicked mode in Unreal Tournament. I tried it few times when it was released but I found both teams just rushing map for spots, no lanes whatsoever, lots of ppl left eventually gave this mode a finger. Too bad imo.
