MH prevention

Hello,
I would like to ask if is there any kind of MH prevention? I don't know how does MH excatly works but I know MH is any changing of map, adding something...

I think something like Punkbuster for Quake 3 is needed.
Or is possible to add function to bot that will compare the maps in your PC somehow?
Idea is that if someone has anyhow different map (I don't mean version ofc) he will get kicked from game or pregame lobby...

If i understand you well, you are thinking of something like they use for counterstrike servers for anti cheat, against wallhack, right? Small programs. But as i was an admin on garena, we used AH program which make random SS pictures on computers of people who are running it without letting them know, and he was automaticly updating to our server those pictures, so we were seeing when someone is using cheat... So simple, even that many wouldnt agree it.

That program with pictures may be good.
I think about special function inside the bot. It would compare every player's map to other's map and if it find any difference it would kick (or ban) that player. Because if you change the map anyhow, the map will have for example different size. To explain that:
Normal 6.72b version (no changes, no MH) has 8 224 768 b on disc. If you change something it can has for example 8 225 394 b...

Or other way can be comparing map's hex code. You can open the map in any hex editor. If you ever worked with hex you know how it looks like. And if you change anything in map, it will change it's hex code. Only one character can be changed or maybe more, I don't know, but it can be the difference, the problem, the MH we are looking for.

This is only idea, I'm not programmer, I don't know how to do that.

But now occurs to me that there will be problem with translation. I use translated map to CZ and it has other size (8 224 768 b) than EN version (8 175 616 b).

there should be made a cilent like antihack programm otherwise i think its impossible

Actually MH can change the map. It can add some speciall function - increase regeneration, let you go thru thing or units... I these cases you have to change something inside the map so it will change it's size.

But with that fog you are probably right cause you can turn it off or on in W3.

So what to say? Die f***ing MHer...

no mh cant increase rege mate...maybe some other hack idk...if mh would change map,then u would have different map then others,it wouldn't be Dota 6.72b.w3x that bot is using.

But I don't know what happens if you try to play with changed map...

dream dota only edits map , normal mh remowes only fog. I dont know how but dream dota is easier to detect because there are to much modifications.

I think castiele knows hows mh works and how it changes w3 folder. I think those modifications are related to w3 folder itself not only dota. Btw i wont speak something i am not sure. MH is not my proffesion.

no you cant open a dota map if you do not deprotect it

Ofc you need to deprotect it and then you can change it. This is what I mean. But I don't know what happen if you try to play with this changed map... You get ban, but I mean ingame, what would happen ingame

there is ah mode...but 95% maphacks has ah bypass...

PlayDota.eu is not using it,but some other bots on server.eurobattle.net are using it.When you enter game lobby,if u have MH,it immediately notify that u are using MH.
