3h dota game?

So today friend told me that he played dota game which lasted 3 hours. Call me a noob, but is that posible, for dota game to last so long?

My record is 1h 43 mins damn hell game but we won we are both crusing ancients at same time but hyper stone did his work

its not possible I think even if it takes more then 1 hour game is going to be faster and how time passes creeps waves grow and its more requirement to CPU cause too much calculations are going on for common system is unbearable by this time. 1 and half hour or 1:45 is possible and sometimes very long games take that time but not more. Creeps themselves can push pretty well very late game so if everybody was trying to stop them they finish game anyway
Or he played drunked and 1 hour game seemed to him like 3 ask him for replay and its clear

I have played 2 hours regularly and some 3 hour games mostly inhouse clan and without any rax on either team .
