Gproxy++ still on after game over
« on: April 24, 2011, 23:49 »
Hi!
I havd a very frustrating experience. An idiotic, ruined game ended with !rmk. We started leaving, but a little jerk with Gproxy++ disced. So, we had to wait for gazillion seconds to leave a game (wait for reconnect... and still... and we can't leave warcraft... no alt-F4, nothing). So I had to alt-tab, and kill W3 process.
Can't Gproxy++ timer be disabled after game is over? Nerd kids use it to get their revenge...

Wow u really don't know what you are talking about, do you?
When disconnect timer is on, F10 doesn't work. No menu. No alt-qq.
So it is ctrl-alt-del, kill W3 process, wait, kill again, wait, alt-tab, wait for minifrezzes, ctrl-alt-del, kill again, and NOW it is done.
Next time, pls understand the problem before replying. (A lot of coding? Like one extra branch?)

OMG.
Ok, I use Win7, where it takes 3 more clicks. And yes, it is that hard. Why the fuck do I need to kill W3 and reopen-bnet-password again?
And yes, sometimes killing an idle process takes some time, even in Win7. Not always instantaneous. Wow that's a shock...

I so love these internet kids, they don't know the solution, but they desperately need to say something...
(-Hey, how do I do this-that in PSP?
-Don't use PSP, PS ismuch better u idiot nab lolz.)

U are dumb. Just dumb. U collecting posts or what?
This can be frustrating for all players, not only me, so me making a program makes no sense. I AM asking for a solution on this forum. What guide? How to handle dimwit kids who talk nonsense on forums? OK, I'll google it.

Wtf? Try english, I don't really understand your babbling. Game ends, kid disconnects, I have to wait 300 seconds or so till GProxy is on for that kid. What 5 seconds? There is no 5 seconds here.

Usseles topic... rly useles.... so hard to run task mng? lol... u must be one fat ass nolifer XD

So u come here and make a senseless comment, and call ME a nolifer? :D
Man, I am reporting a bug/potentional abuse. Yes, it is not a big one. Not a new hyperhack that gives you +20 levels when game starts.
But this is a place to report such things. What is wrong with that?
And seriously: if you have nothing to say, why the fuck do you bother grabbing keyboard and vomiting shit all over threads?

Hmm, maybe you guys are just jealous, cause u can never start a topic with a new idea, since you have none of those. Is that it? :D I guess so.

Thanks for reporting this.
Yea, good idea, Gproxy should be disabled after Tree/Throne is down.

You could also increase the !synclimit, that would remove the lag screen and let you F10 -> Leave, if the host already left you can set yourself as host with !owner .

I think he is talkin about a draw or ffed game MuN, I mean when all of the players use !rmk or !ff  ,after it some of them start to leave the game, but some of them stay for few more mins or seconds(throne isnt down or anythin) but someone uses that gproxy thing to bug the others.

Ps: Correct me if I am wrong zerind

The problem is,they can do that during the game also,so stopping the gproxy after ff or rmk or anythin isnt needed imo.

Thanks! I think disabling gproxy after tree/throne is down, or after successful !ff or !rmk would be a good idea. (If possible.)

Someone can disc ingame too, but that is bannable, so they don't do it that often.

And big thanks for removing the flamewar! :)

No, disabling it is not good idea. Even after game is drawed some people wanna continue playing for fun and these would be affected.

>>Nerd kids use it to get their revenge...<< Really? Like 1/500 games, is it even worth it making this thread?

Please, read the thread first.
Gproxy comes on is sy leaves. Not disconnects, simply leaves when game is finished. So, if eg. your draw happens, the ppl who wants play on will have to wait till all Gproxy player's timers run out. Good thing?

Oh, and about 1/500 scenarios:
A drew game with ppl wanting to play on, THEN sy disconnects and wants to rejoin with gproxy. That is 1/5000. Not worth making a post... :P

THINK before u comment. And understand the thread.

Btw draw drew drawn. No such thing as "drawed".

First thing, mr. Teacher, sorry that my English is not so perfect. You don't need to be aggressive. I found many mistakes in your posts as well that weren't even irregular verbs.

On topic, when somebody leaves using menu or using alt+F4 or whatever (= not killing the process or disconnecting cable), then gproxy can not be used to resume the game - this is not how it works. Thus, when somebody "leaves the game voluntarily" (as ghost describes that), then gproxy doesn't come onto action. And my practice proves that (105 games, maybe not so much like highly-experienced player like you, but enough for not-addicted player since new bots are on just for a while) - I have never experienced what you described - that I would have to wait even for single player that left the game voluntarily if you don't count those who fake-d/c (pluggers). But why would someone unplug when game is drawn (not drawed, ok).
