To be honest, I'm 95% sure Blizzard doesn't give a singke f**k about custom maps anymore, and that may be a big problem. Despite never meeting him/her/it/ma'am/apache helicopter, I'm amazed and quite grateful for all the patience and effort Dracolich put into working on maps after new patch releases, but it's only a matter of time before he becomes too tired of Blizzard's bullshit.
Just one out of many examples of how much Blizzard cares about custom maps:
- Join a game of Dota on 1.30 on Battle.net, make sure it's an AP game;
- In the lobby, enable 50% Handicap (also known as "Jeandarc mode") on yourself (you can enable Handicap on custom maps now in 1.30, for God knows what reason);
- Wait for the game to start, pick Morphling;
- Laugh your ass off and wonder wtf is going on, then just troll.
Side note: I discovered this BS myself, I won't reveal what happens as it will ruin the surprise, but I will advise you (if you try this) not to Morph your stats to Strength, as it is the only way to get Morphling back to normal state.
To get back to the subject, I'm sort of hyped cause of Reforged (I guess), but I feel like I should have bare minimum expectations from it, since Blizzard proved several times over the last few years that they are more than capable of disappointing their fans. Yet I still hope for the best, I guess I'll never learn.
