I noticed sometimes d1stats site is opened and your game minimized, usually at start or end of a game. Does it happen to everyone? Please report if you encounter this issue and what exactly did you do before the game got minimized

Moving to dual gateway support this Saturday

    Move will happen 1.9.2018 in the morning when traffic is low. Those who already have client install will receive an automatic update. New installer will also be published.

    To play DotA 6.88 on lagabuse you will need W3 1.26 which you can get in advance here. Most mirrors will probably get overwhelmed so I recommend using the torrent, the more the better. You need to download the game manually, it's not part of the autoupdate.

    If you play CG/PG you will be mostly unaffected by the update.

    This topic will be updated with further instructions as update is being rolled out.

Announcements / DotA 6.88 Gateway Beta is out

This is a public beta update to help us test the dual gateway support and hosting of DotA 6.88 on Lagabuse bots. As soon as the bugs are ironed out it will be rolled out officially.

If you don't want to get your hands dirty with testing you should probably skip this.

Setup
1. Copy your Eurobattle.net (usually C:/Program Files (x86)/Eurobattle.net) folder somewhere safe since the update will cause you to be unable to play on current lagabuse.com without reinstalling the client (beta gproxy is a higher version). After you are done testing, switch the folders or reinstall with installer v9 to get back to normal.


2. Get W3 1.26a from one of these mirrors http://wiki.eurobattle.net/index.php?title=Warcraft_III_1.26
Extact somewhere, like your user folder.

Basically, you must have two W3 versions installed at the same time, 1.28 (or newer in the future) and 1.26. DotA 6.88x can only be played on 1.26 patch.
It's 1GB more on your harddrive but it kinda works.

3. Get beta update by going into UPDATE tab in xpam client, type 1377 and click "Get beta patch" button.

4. In Warcraft tab, you need to set the path of 1.26 gateway to point to the W3 folder you extracted in step 2.


How to test?
1. Use the right (1.26) gateway with gproxy
2. Join channel la-dev, a test guard (la-dota) and 1 bot are in there. You can command the guard same way as you would lagabuse.com
3. /w la-dota .map dota and /w la-dota .priv gn to host a custom game
4. /w la-dota !pub gn to test a ladder game
5. Playing on la-dota bot will NOT affect your PSR on lagabuse.com. It is a seperate database made from a July 29 backup just for testing.

What especially needs to be tested: a full ladder game (!pub) with 10 players so we can see if hero stats etc. are parsed correctly by the bot!

Staff and I will be idling on discord/la-dev channel for help and to play games (myself mostly in the evening CET time).

My suggestion is to meet every day around 21:00 CET in la-dev to gather for a test game. 10 players needed at least.

You can report all bugs in this topic, technical support or discord, give as much detail as possible.


Random stuff:
1. Help! I got beta update and I want to get it again, but it wont let me.
run regedit->HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->Eurobattle.net->set "patch" entry to 25 (in decimal), now you can get the beta patch again

2. New groxy has protections in place to only be able to join la-dota games and no others. So with 1.26 patch, you can only play Dota 6.88 (which will be used for ladder), for all other CG games you need to switch gateways.
This is a security measure since patch 1.26 has a security hole which malicious maps could exploit and infect your computer.

Also, you can't play on lagabuse.com with this beta since gproxy is higher version and bots will kick you.

GFX Mini Games / Puzzle game

A very simple mini-game. You are given empty patterns to choose from, which have to be filled with pictures related to the theme (chosen by you).

How to create the puzzle pieces (Photoshop):

- Open a source picture and copy-paste it to the main (pattern) image in a separate layer
- Select a puzzle piece with magic wand on the pattern layer
- Switch to the picture layer and copy-paste (only the selected part will be copied)
- Delete the picture layer

This should leave you with a cropped picture of the exact same form as the puzzle part you selected before and on the same position:




Rules:
Pick a pattern from the provided ones
The size (640x640) should stay the same and the chosen pattern should NOT be modified
ANY effects and tools can be used on the source pictures (or puzzle pieces)
The pictures to be converted to puzzle pieces can be found anywhere on the internet

I'm currently working on the wiki and require some special labels for the section names. Here is the page i need it for (its not completed yet): http://wiki.eurobattle.net/index.php?title=TempPage

Names: Warcraft III, Server, User account, Eurobattle.net client, Troubleshooting
Theme: black to blue colors, matching the theme of the wiki, would be good to have the eurobattle.net logo inside
Size: approx 200x35

Ideally i would like to have a psd with a text field because some changes may be needed later and i also plan on using such labels on the other pages.
