Technical support / Re: max equals min now? :)

I think it's bug caused when bots were moving. If you type !sync 600, it says sync is now set to maximum of 500... So this works the same like before.

It was me and I did not read anywhere it got disabled. And if, why doesn't it say so and instead of that shows that bullshit message?

I can ease the work for you: tell us what are your computer's specifications.

Low CPU / gfx speed. Flash Player's video playback have always been ridiculously hardware intensive. You are proof. When I play YT's fullHD video in youtube's flash player, CPU usage goes to 40%, when I play it in offline player (after downloading), load is only 15%, and my player does not even support hardware accelerated decoding. Pooh on you, Adobe
I so liked embedded WMP on pages

Technical support / Why not autobanned?« on: July 01, 2011, 12:10 »
Hello, I noticed:
32:39 (All) Hyperzer has left the game voluntarily. and was not auto-banned. I did not notice they forfeited. So I checked game log, and indeed, they did not succeed to forfeit. How come he did not get auto-banned then? http://playdota.eu/stats/game/2046263/apem-eu-3 Regards 8
General Discussions / Re: IP/ Perma ban« on: June 25, 2011, 19:58 »
Banning ip range is wicked and can cause more players get undeserved ban. Banning single IP may lead into same (some lame ISPs build their network such way that more independent clients share one external ip). Though I would recommend banning single IPs!.
Not everyone have possibility to change his IP only by restarting router or modem. There are some complicated ways though, but most people who get banned are that stupid they won't even manage that). Anyway, there's no sense opening this topic when only thing you get ban that lasts is maphack, bans should be harder .

I understand your problem, but downloading should be definitely disabled, at least for dota ladder games. Every noob is supposed to know getdota.com In case of custom games, reduce the speed to 25KB/s so it will make people download larger maps rather via browser or whatever.

Technical support / Re: Playdota.eu Lag« on: June 08, 2011, 18:15 »
Well few things. It's not same for everyone. I played just a while ago and while I had ping 190 (I usually have 50), others had over 1000 (3 people). So they had to have unplayable lags when I was able to play with only small difficulties.
Still, we've waited few minutes in paused mode, then we remaked. And that's what You were supposed to do as well. 11

About database access: You have it, you can /w playdota.eu !sd anyone any time. About write access - that would be crazy. It would make an admin/mod from you, and in such case you don't need own bot and you can have power on pd bots themselves. But I see your point, problem is they can not trust anybody.

General Discussions / Re: PD's PSR system and forfeit command« on: May 02, 2011, 14:52 »Exactly... Existence of the command only brings flame wars. It's good command and if you don't want to forfeit then don't, its easy as that. FF command is just useless. If game is really over, you stop playing and they can not feed on you. In such case the opponent team will finish the game anyway - what esle he can do when you don't feed him, stare and watch? - and you don't need any shit command. 13
Feedback / Re: Gproxy++ still on after game over« on: May 01, 2011, 23:02 »
First thing, mr. Teacher, sorry that my English is not so perfect. You don't need to be aggressive. I found many mistakes in your posts as well that weren't even irregular verbs.
On topic, when somebody leaves using menu or using alt+F4 or whatever (= not killing the process or disconnecting cable), then gproxy can not be used to resume the game - this is not how it works. Thus, when somebody "leaves the game voluntarily" (as ghost describes that), then gproxy doesn't come onto action. And my practice proves that (105 games, maybe not so much like highly-experienced player like you, but enough for not-addicted player since new bots are on just for a while) - I have never experienced what you described - that I would have to wait even for single player that left the game voluntarily if you don't count those who fake-d/c (pluggers). But why would someone unplug when game is drawn (not drawed, ok). 14

I think it is your ISP, guys, that you should talk to. They assign you wrong IP adress.

No, disabling it is not good idea. Even after game is drawed some people wanna continue playing for fun and these would be affected.
>>Nerd kids use it to get their revenge...<< Really? Like 1/500 games, is it even worth it making this thread? |
