Here is very good guide for recording dota2 if you are interested in it
recording in dota2 is now not full and you need to know some tricks with console - here its all covered
and its also good if you hate FRAPS :D

This is in my bookmarks nowadays ^^

But i have a huge trouble with downloading replays at Dota 2 :(
Have you ever could download a replay? It was always unavailable for me.

like to find the match of yours in filter? it happens and its fu annoying :/ I cant find some of my matches too sometimes and it takes some time to recover them by using Next/Previous buttons it refresh match after match
but some older cant find I dled most of them which I could find... its one big bug now hope they fix it (on dev.forums already few topics about it)...

or you meant the dling replys to another folder to record them how in this guide?

nice guide. this will help.
I cant start the game most of the time..always smtng wrong..and when i do, 3/4 are instant rematch :S

Yea i hardly find my recent games cause search filter thing is not working properly. But i'm talking about i couldn't even download 1 single replay :( and there is not much information about it at developer forum. It just says for all of them "Replay Unavailable" (even for not mine games).

think off one thing - try to reinstall Dota2 some problems were fixed if some ppl did that ;) I know its problem with finding through filter but if it doesnt find anything it can be worthy trying
