You guys probably got an e-mail from Steam about Dota 2 Survey.
Let me inform who didn't get an e-mail about it or look at dota2.com :
*As far as i could understand from the article, Dota 2 will allow more people to test!
1- If you don't have still Steam account, get one!
2- Launch your client, make last updates then launch again.
3- Click ''Dota 2 Survey'' at this official link : The Sleeping Dragon Wakes | Dota 2 (http://blog.dota2.com/2011/10/the-sleeping-dragon-wakes/)
4- It will open a window via Steam about ''Dota 2 Hardware Survey''.
5- Finish the survey.
*Try to make this survey at the computer which you desire to play Dota 2. Because it will gather some Hardware information from your computer.

Hah im thinking.. Will i get an invitation, when i write that my average kills are like... 4, my deaths are usually high, i dont get to farm much etc. ? There's no fucking "i leave kills for carry, i let him farm and i buy wards on pub and all blame me for mh" field :(

After finishing the survey this text comes;

We'll be sending out invitations in increasing volumes over the coming weeks, and by filling out the survey you've got yourself into the pool of players we'll be pulling from. The extra data you've provided will allow us to get a wide spread of players and hardware running the game, so we can ensure Dota 2 will be an optimal experience for everyone. "
They will probably pull equal amount of noob/skilled/hardpro . Maybe your hardware results affects in that pulling too. That's my guess.
They don't say anything about it, so we can't know...

Yep, also, some of the "online" celebrities actually told in their newsposts / vlogs to this that it actually should start distributing on friday o.O . Mb they got wrong info, but im still hoping ;)

i filled up survey honestly sayin that i play 50+ games monthly i even calculated my kda which is 12/2/9

Hmm , i think they will give beta keys to wooden pcs as well . Why ? Because only way they are testing game on their own is on good builds and they know minimum requiremnts which means nothing. That can mean you can play game with little delay and etc.
So they give it to someone who has older pc to see its perfomance.

Thus you have an opinion about how many players got the key so far and will get in the future.
People say at forums first day around +300 they gave away -.-
Nowadays peak count is around 930. I'll compare the peak counts here in the future...

yes i did, i did state that i usually get a lot of deaths and very little kills, specified support heroes as favorites, so i'm hoping that the beta circle wont be based purely of pubstompers, but also of players like me, that buy chicken and wards for the team in pubs even without being asked :)

on PD.com they increased no. of beta keys to 20 each day (13 for older members, 7 rest), and steam survey its bigger no. every few days, maybe its cause some ppl doesnt play it still or they cant cause of shitty PC :DDD

its just fail, foken non-dota players have keys and we dont..... i know few pople who has keys and say its waste of time playing coz some noobs skill lvl1 rocket on lvl8 playing clock gg.

btw how many heroes are in dota2? 50? and based on every thursday they should introduce new heroes right? so we lack around 50more...
they put 2-3 heros per week, so 50/2.5 =25weeks
So at least we dont need to expect dota in the next 25 weeks before dota2 will be for everyone :P

imo few heroes they can put in normal stage but youre almost right Valve is perfectionist company so it can be, but they can increase no. of heroes ;) theres anything possible ;D

Actually, concerning the Dota2 + Non-DotA players, if someone will be interested, i'll try to dig deep and pull out a mailbox of TB concerning that thing :D
He basically says that he knows that LoL and especially HoN have a bad community when it comes to accepting new players. "But in DotA, it's like HoN community was on crack for a year or two non-stop" And seriously suggests players new to DotA (games) not to pick up DotA 2 :D

yy I m watching link.link stream time to time and hes good but at start of streaming before opened beta there were pros and now hes playing against nabz with keys jeez why Imnot there and you pro ppl from here :-X

dota 2 steam servers ale full of 2500 ppl its much more so a lot of ppl enter the game
and I figured out who are the noobs in streams :D even some dota 1 noobs wouldnt do some of those shits so they must be LoL and HoN ppl who got key >:( , they are complaining that is harder and different and no they even enter it and ruin it cause its same as dota1 that they didnt or maybe a lot of time before play...
there should be some inconspicuous question "what game did you played before from RTS and based on it LoL and HoN players send to nubz section to learn it for at least half a year :DDD

After sorting things w/ friends, i might have one guest pass leftover, so i'll probly make some kind of competition with 1 beta pass as a prize if there will be people interested in it..

Besides the fancy graphics, so far I have only negative experience.
Too many game ruiners ...
Type of players:
Type 1: New to the game. They just enjoy playing Dota2. They don't leave, but they are awful as any other newbie.
Type 2: The wannabe-good idiots. Spent some time in Dota2 and got used to beat players from Type 1. But when the things get serious vs an actual decent player , ragequits comes handy.
Type 3: Decent players. You can't have a full game only by such.

I think they are just testing the computer-hardware issues. So they don't care about skilled people which will give good feedbacks. Or they had enough of them..

Just played it last night. Two games in row, and folks were good skilled. They did have 15+ deny. I made 1/1 w/l.
What I saw so far is not so great, but it too early to make a final judgment of the game. Map design suck balls for me.
