I was actually able to find those first versions of DotA for Reign of Chaos. No recipes, heroes had 30 dmg, very different. But for example Dragon Knight is basically the same ever since.
-
First dota map I played was 5.84. I think it wasnt the newest one at that time, but thats the first one I played. And not online, ofc, I had Dial-up internet at that time :D It was around 2006 if Im not wrong. Later on I started playing with 2 friends at game rooms, and it was really addictive game ::)
Btw, anyone remembers those huge Hydra creeps, which spawned like every 10 minutes?

-sc mode still in the dota i guess, so you can play it in non-ladder dota.

We actually managed to gather a group of people for some 4v4 -cp here on forum couple of years ago.
... And then bukka bought gem of truesight as his starting item, and things got hectic. Good times. Shame you missed it.
Speaking of Eul's DotA maps (the RoC ones), I remember a friend getting me to play a few games with those. I was quite surprised that DK was, in fact, the same hero back then. DotA sure came a long way since.

I miss old school dota so I wanted to know if there are other dota dinosaurs here
-
Why would anyone uninstall Steam?
cuz it's af ucking waste omf time
-
If you enjoy playing, it isn't waste of time. But if you are about to die to cancer in a month, you might wanna do something different, that's true.
-
i haven't enjoyed playing dota in a very long time, and i dont bother playing other shit steam games
-
Just out of curiosity, what other video games you play/like?
There's almost everything on Steam except Blizzard's and (some) EA's games.
-
My laptop is good enough only for dota, even though sometimes fails me there too :(

Playing Dying Light nowdays. Kinda "farcry in a different costume", but i like the zombie hunting in parkour style idea :)

i'm raping these kids here
there's also the benefit of it being a 1v1 game, so you don't have to rely on braindead fucking idiots such as trol to not feed 10 fucking times in fucking 5 minutes to win the game, you can just style on them by yourself because you have only yourself to count on and to blame

I seriously don't remember the version, but the first dota match I've played was like 9 years ago.
Since then, I've played for about 2 years, in total. Had large breaks in between when I was kinda obsessed with dota and didn't played at all.
