I have a quick idea about penalties for game ruining etc.
Maybe instead of just ban on account few days,
there could be a PSR penalty?
I think some player would be hurt more to lose -20 PSR
than have few days off from dota.
(anyway most just do new nick name and play on)
So there are 3 possibilities:
1. Ban stay as they are, people make new accounts
while they are banned, play on w8 time and learn little.
2. Ban + -PSR for example 3 days off + -20 PSR >
that could teach some high PSRs to not play solo.
3. Just - PSR penalties.
What do u think?? Maybe it could be a good system,
or maybe its just another crap idea of mine!! who knows!!

Nice idea, just 1 problem. As I know normal ban/unban admins don't have access to server =), only Cen/MyUberNick can do that and few other people. It would be needed to implement it into code, and admin area of forums

Those who care about PSR ranking are not such a rule breakers and they are few, the others are just (in general) "floud", making new accounts and they just want to "enjoy" DotA nothing more, this idea would be useful at 2010+ but not now (for me) its just too much + the work for b&u team will be insane, just think about it - retards (and they are many trust me) that makes 1231231 accounts and their only purpose is to ruin games b&u moderators must ban/warn and remove PSR from them, its not logical :/ :/ , lets stay to ban/warn only. But it would be "somehow" useful for the top players on our ladder, for example players with 1800+ PSR will have that penalty if they break a rule...dunno how is it sounds?

Yeah this rules should apply only to 1700++, but if they don't break rules much as u mentioned, there is really little sense in all that.
Btw such system would have to be automatic eg. when u give 3 days > it automatically would have to give -15 PSR (eg. 5psr per each day of ban), then the work would be the same, just the punishment little expanded:)
Maybe one day then!!

You can even win this game without playing :D :D
Well, you should really consider this optopn, psr system maybe aint brilliant but atleast keeping real low people away from some games.

They can host their own 1700+ game with 1500psr, on the weekends when there are many ppl online, they wont even realize that host has 1500... :)

Yes they can, but then normal people would leave such lobby with fake pro host.
Well im saying on my won experience, psr does matter same as K/D. Someone with low psr, low game amounts, stats hunters or shitty K/D cannot be taken seriously.
Now, if you would give -PSR with ban many things would change. Even now its really hard to join even a noob apem game with new acc with 1500 psr.
The idea is great, its jsut need to be discussed.
This change would affect mostly in players above 1600 psr because most decent games starts from 1600+
Just my oponion, any change would be nice, standing in same place is queal with moving back.

Best idea would be, ban the player only for 24 hours and give him a PSR penalty of -15. If his team wins he will not gain any PSR, if his team however loses, he will lose that PSR too. And if he gets unbanned due to connection problems, then his - PSR will not be recovered by any cost. And bans will not be scaling from 24 to 48 to 72 etc. just 24 hours.

Except the durations, this is the current system... with ragequit or drop, he loose psr, and dont get it back at unban. Psr given back is only in very special cases.
