Title: Whate ever happened?

I was just wondering what ever happened to that mode in dota that was like capture the point(or sth like that)?? Why didnt it catch on and, it would be a nice change to play a game of dota once in a while with that mode...

would also be fun to play  -arshomnpscidpmdm with -wtf on , but everyone just plays ladder games

you can play Wtf -trapemnoobs all this modes u can play but in custom  game not ladder game and i think this is the best system and they cant make it much more better than it is right now.

It is -cp. Few times I tried to host game like -apcp but if you wanna play -cp mode you gotta host custom game, bot won't let you host -cp ladder game. And ofc ppl didn't wanna play when they found out it is custom game...

So am I, it reminds me that wicked mode in Unreal Tournament. I tried it few times when it was released but I found both teams just rushing map for spots, no lanes whatsoever, lots of ppl left eventually gave this mode a finger. Too bad imo.

sometimes i hosted wtf ardm   and ppl came and in 10-15 minutes
about cp mode i cant believe i never heard of it.

if you want to play some games like that count me in.
organize it on forum so we dont w8 a lot in lobby.

Me and my 2 friends used to abuse that mode when it as in ladder . We captured all points , other team did not defend them properly because they did not know what it is xD When u have 4,5 of them , you have +20,30 % chance to win for sure. And i got banned because we raped them so hard in one game , and stats abused on fountain xD Good old times xd I remember that was my 2nd game when stats reseted. I jumped to 2nd place , even top 50 had around 10 games already.

So far is seems that 5 people declared being interested in playing some -cp (no I didn't personally contact anyone except bukka):

I think you can just whisper or something. Though if you insist, try channel cp (or Poland, as I'm usually there).

Come guys, it was fun, but we need more reliable people, cause pubs gave us possibly a maphacker (you saw his boats and stuff...), then leaver, then another maphacker (roof clicked some stuff in fog)...
