Basher is briliant item for riki. No doubt. You dont need any agi in this item... get some agi items 1st like diffu etc and then go basher and some speed items. Later collect more agi items.
Its good thing. Changed many pub games.

I played couply of good games with riki. And not making basher brings only shame on you.
riki = agility hero.
More agi = better speed.
better speed with basher = perna bash.
Perna bash+good teammates = gg.

If you wont make basher u have 0% chance to stun. If you got basher even when osmeone runs u can blink every 5 sec and deal atleast 2hits from back.. having basher gives 2x12% to stun to kill enemie or make more dmg...

Already did.
But wasnt so good when I played agaisnt stunners... and especially when fog was on CD.
Also purge has limited actions... even if u can buy 1 more recipe its not enough.
Diffu without purge is useless then :P
Purrge is ok before 30 min of the game.
Basher is good for game 20+ till end.

Waste of gold if u dont burn enough mana. Waste of time if you want solo everyone with only purge.
And you forgot about something. Purge wont work if someone is holding gem and its attacking you. Than you imba mega agility backstab wont work. You die after 1st stun.

NABY when u got enougt agi u can blink + silence the nuker/some1 with gem and easily kill them in 2 hits...destroy the gem and be free to hunt the others!Even when you got basher you have to be lucky to get a bash...but diff blade always burns mana...That way you can disable for exampl SK ulti,if u cant kill him fast enough...so diff blade is better than your crapy basher!
And one other thing READ BETWEEN THE LINES!If you know what that means...

There is a guide about hotkeys in this forum. you got to look for it.
And as for the previous conversation.
if you still think diffu is better - make it.. As for me its useles item and you cant force me to change my mind.
I am only giving advices how to play well with riki without fallin in routine.
If you dont like it - dont make it.
If he would like to make one and it will be great for him - you can force him also to change it.

agree perma bash no more dudes, diffusial much better, agi for dmg, attack speed - your crits better, some int for more mana for more smokes, basher only dmg and proc stun get this only after diff and as optional ;) ;)

if last there are much better items now in this part of game and as agi melee carry you got gold on some more expensive stuff and better. BTW as agi melee carry you didnt still finish game :D
bash only for lycan as core else is optional, overrated item now, a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away was best with perma bash now sux ;D

y deso is nice dmg , jugger needs dmg but u waste than orb , and u dont make curias so its wrong . it may be good if someone out ur team will make curias or have decreasing armor skills .

deso is good choice if team have armor reduction tactics - slardar, SF, bounty or against casters with no armor and low HP base, for other cases are there other orbs like lifesteal to survive.... one and only word - depends ;)
or if you know that you can tear them apart wit deso adn team you trust and profit to make cuirass go ahead ;)

That was a imba pro game...huskar with linken and yasha, and techies with orchid!!!No need to say more...and you couldn't win...

Atleast it was long and enjoyable game.
And basher made its work.
Even with low chance to stun sometimes It did work and sniper couldnt use his blade mail.
I was out of money cause' I could do bm also... but whateva.
And it was 4vs5 after 5min of game... so wasnt so bad :p

Consider this...if you had made diff blade instead of basher and farmed a little more and made butter instead of s&y...later made ethereal blade and upgraded the diff blade...would it be better??? And you needed the gem for techies mines and snipers lothar...you had power treads,and you got one slot left!Maybe make manta???Tell me would that have been better...

You should watch replay to see clearly situation.
I had no gold for more items - had to buy myself 3 times in that game.
Even with gem its hard to avoid mines. Unfortunetly I dont have mh so sometimes it was to late when I blinked on sniper and I fount out there are mines. Fog of war is tricky.
I dont have hotkeys so searching on items and clicking it to purge someone is also painful.
I was feeded alot in 30 min.
I was thinking only to get some items fast.. manta would fine but I havnt made it.
ethereal blade? what for? ok, sniper couldnt atatck me.. but I couldnt attack him also, couldnt count on the tinker neither.
My dmg was ok.. but we were in bad team tho. Feeded sniper and his ministuns are painful. Especially when he is holding BM also.
As for me it was gg. And I would do basher again, maybe instead of sya I could make diffu... but only till 30 min, later burning mana would be useless... and I would be prabobly out of purges anyway.

How can manaburn 30 + be bad?
When u counter mana dependable heroes like bone/duza/magina and rest that have escape mechanism what u gonna do ?
Pretty sure u wouldnt catch them.
Mana burn works perfectly on Riki , cuz he has high Ias.
U dont need the purges, u already have the stats and the buffs from diffusal.
Basher could be a good item for riki if u go straight pt/diffusal/basher/mkb/bfly so u can hit it fast and bash it almost every hit.
anyway i dont think game will last that long , cuz when u have pt + diffusal on riki before 30 mins its already gg.
After if they have some hard carry u might go for it.
Anyway riki sure needs mkb/bfly due to lategame capabilities.

soulbooster on crow + dagon. then afk at fountain and ks with dagon.
