W3 completely bugged
Hello, need some help people.

I'm facing some weird problem lately, which makes me unable to play.

I'll try to explain it on easiest way possible. When I start Warcraft, and for instance there is that snowing animation behind, with throne (the screen where you choose battlenet/single player/local area net etc), animation works ok for some time, let's say 5sec, then starts to speed up, like 5times faster, lasts for 2 sec maybe, and then stops. And again same after ~10sec or so, and periodically repeats. It makes me unable to play since it happens ingame also, where I completely lose control over everything when that occurs, and it happens like several times per minute.

So, the game randomly speeds up and slows down, which makes it unplayable. So far I've tried these things, and none of those helped:

- Reinstalled W3
- Reinstalled direct X
- Did system restore of windows to some earlier date
- Tried some kind of w3 fixers etc, nothing helped

Also, I'd like to mention that it only happens in Warcraft, I tried another game, everything works fine.

Anyone has any idea what should I do? I would reinstall windows but I can't do that at the moment due to some other things, so that's not an option.

Any help would be good, since I'm completely unable to play at the moment.

Thanks guys in advance,

Regards, N^^S

Any help would be nice.

I can but screenshots won't help you see what's going on.

Basically game speeds up and slows down randomly.

Also, one funny thing:

While I'm on skype call, that doesn't happen. Everything works fine while the call is on.

On screenshot everything would look ok. Problem is, game randomly slows down and accelerates.

I found one solution.

Everything works good if I have browser on before I start w3, and I maximize the browser just before w3 starts. If in any time i minimize browser, game starts bugging. So, for now I guess i'll be playing with open browser, seems fine with it, lol  :D

Well it's weird but I think it is about process priority, and your cpu makes some glitch if it is the only process running on high priority or smth like this. If you start task manager (ctrl+shit+esc) while the game runs, switch to processes search the war3.exe ->right click->set priority. It should be on Normal, you can try changing it between normal and high. Never go realtime or below normal. (In real time mode this kind of things can easily happen what you wrote)

Meanwhile gproxy.exe should be on "above normal".

Edit: task manager (ctrl+shiFt+esc) omg i wrote ctrl+shit+esc. I guess I need a coffe asap :D

I tried that too, priorities are ok. Browser doesn't help btw, only skype call  ;D

But I had some issues also with pc so it can easily be my gfx card, I'll look into that, thanks ppl

It's fine now, I have no idea what caused it, and what fixed it. It just randomly got better.
