Is anyone playing (or tried) Heroes of the Storm?

I don't understand why you would even bother with it.
You can logically expect something similar to dota (since it copies it) but much worse as far as gameplay goes (since it doesn't have such a long history of balance attempts as dota has) and I suppose an "improvement" in graphics (a change in graphics would be the term I would use, since graphics/texture style is an extremely subjective matter), the same as lol hon and other pathetic attempts of mimicking.

Blizzard is not blizzard anymore, diablo 3, hots etc. just shity games.

Yes, similar to DotA yet different in so many things, as efko said.
I was just wondering if anyone tried it and what he thinks about it.
Personally I don't have a real opinion yet, as I need to give it some time. But so far it looks like DotA for kids :D

I watched some streams of HotS, but my reception was rather ColdS.

I played 2 games and won both, its quite childs play.. I don't like the fact that you can not buy items(like wtf? only skillbuild can make a difference) and I also don't like the fact that you level up as a team. The modes were quite fun though

Yes, as I said, it looks like DotA for kids.
It is quick game (20 mins), depending on team play.
I knew there are no items before I tried it. Its, I'd say different. As a time passes, and if teams are even, it is same all game long. You as a single can't do anything extra. Stay together, get mercenaries, complete "quest"...
The thing that bothers me is the fact that you can destroy every single building except the core (ancient) and you still won't have a real advantage - no mega creeps.
I've managed to get stucked at enemy's core for several long minutes, pushing like a mad, killing and destroying everything but somehow couldn't finish...

I will download it when i buy a good internet. When i buy internet i will quit on Dota and go HotS

HotS is intended to be Skill based game, unlike the others, you can just farm, farm and farm, buy items, and win the game.. in HotS you need Skill to win it.

I believe kleee wanted to say that HotS is about skill only as you can't "improve" your hero by items, there's no need to last hit etc.

Yes, HotS Requiers more skill than dota, trust me.
In DotA you just right click with most of the heroes if you have items

After few days of playing, I can say the following:
Teamplay, teamplay and teamplay, using a brain and using a brain to teamplay.
I wouldn't believe that I'd say this before, but I quite enjoy the game.

I happen to agree with you asta, im playing it more now. Its quite fun game with the variety of ''modes.'' Still I completely disagree with HotS being more about skills than dota. Lili is awesome.

Who the fuck says hots is more skill requiring than dota ? Fewer things in the game -> fewer things to worry about -> less skill requiring. Simple stuff, basic logic. Do you have any of it ? I guess not.

Dota is easy if you know people who play in team with you, if you use hotkeys/warkeys and if you play vs noobs. When 2 good teams play same game, you have hard game for playing.
Well, I am talking about typical pub game without any changes in oryginal warcraft3, so without hotkeys in a game of 1600+ with random team :P

Haha, so Blizzard made their own DotA finally, they really mixed all the characters.
I watched a few videos, it looks fun, it reminded me of first wow videos, brings back such good memories.
