No, it is not possible for client to update itself. It checks for update when you start it (at splash screen) and never again.

The most logical explanation is that your w3 crashed, because neither gproxy nor client can crash w3 like that.

Well if the computer is THAT weak, then I suggest you throw Linux on it and get a new computer. I have an old HP laptop which has a piece of shit Atom processor in it and 80GB HDD, slow as shit, freezing in Windows XP all the time as soon as you open 3 Firefox tabs.
Eventually I threw Fedora 32bit on it with XFCE and now it's at least usable for normal tasks.

Whole computer restarting usually has nothing to do with software problems but hardware.

Is there any error at all? Blue screen?

It's quite good but I can't recommend it to mods or admins. Not that I have anything against the creator but there is no way to check if the app is stealing passwords. I didn't notice any weird outside connections on my phone or anything but still.. I can't risk some admin get hacked.
That's also the reason why I couldn't promote the app on eurobattle when you first sent it to me.

Maybe if it was open source.
