Srry, Redfoo, "friend voting" is not allowed, especially when the friend shares the same IP with the participant. If you want, ask him to participate, but my advice is not to vote for each other, will be redundant and failling the competition's purpose (best picture should win).

I know you didnt knew, is ok, dont worry about it. That rule is in some topics around here but we didnt bothered to specify it in every single competition. I will organize the rules system in a better way. I dont mind if someone gets a vote from a friend but some guys have a lot of those and a lot of forum accounts; if we would allow that kind of voting people will stop participating since the best picture would not be the one that will win and even the worst picture would win if the participant had more friends than others.

Anyway, the main idea is to have fun here. You will eventually win a competition but not from first if you arent good at this. I participated in about 15 competitions till I finally won 1. Also, we have more than just awards for winning. Every participation will bring you points (even if you dont win) and will increase your rank (same as DotA ladder). At the end of the season you can get award if you managed to be in top 5 or even 10 + participation awards and, as soon as you participated in 5 competitions, you will be given "GFX novice" title with orange forum color.
