Title: Animations
Post by: Deynro on August 10, 2019, 13:33
Hey there,

I can't see the animations (example: Invoker's meteor or Storm's clone). Any idea how to solve this?

Check if there are any new available graphic drivers for your graphic card.

If not, just reinstall the drivers and it should fix the problem for ya.

try reinstal warcraft maybe some files corrupt or maybe dota map corrupt or maybe you messed up someting in map settings otherwise probably graphic card driver or maybe some libraries like msvcp80.dll try move them away from warcraft folder and see

That didn't work for me the last few times I tried it.

I'm sure there's a solution for this on the Warcraft end, but it was always easier for me to just reinstall the drivers. Takes around 5 minutes tops and it solves the problem.

Feel free to let me know in case anyone has a simpler solution for this one.

I think more likely because of microsoft redistributable or directx libraries

When you see them in warcraft folder means it launches these in folder instead of global ones which are isntalled in your system, so you can try delete them or move for use other versions which mauybe is the case for missing animation

I think that was a fix for fps. Is somewhere in tech supp but cant remember which one.

Try what fatality said, for once. And if doesnt work make sure you dont use -betterfps ingame command and disable it from the config file from insider war3 directory too.

Should be:
Code: [Select]
BetterFPS = false
BetterFPS2 = false
BetterFPS3 = false
from config.dota (in 1.26 directory)

All 3 are false and i also did all above, reinstalled drivers + rr PC, doesn't work. The weird thing is that i have no animations only in the online mode, if i go custom game (same map), i have animations.

Seems like it's completely random, some games have animations, some not, nvm, i will lock this topic. Thanks for answers!
