So basically you are saying you play "for fun". So where's the problem with v7 ?
Unless you lowkey don't realize your own reasons or do not understand your anger.

Most people that are mad, are mad because they feel like their (already questionable skill level) has gone even lower after map switch. Which is a common psychological thing. I, myself, have this problem when playing 6.90. Feels like I'm selecting handicap 50% on dropdown in lobby.

BUT. This happens only when playing a down version, because I'm not willing to spend time (re)learning "the old ways". Whenever a new version comes up, i`m actually hyped cause I can finally learn something new; think of new combos, redefine meta; find the next best op hero build.

tl;dr; People are angry, but they do not really know WHY is that.  :boy:

The funny thing is .. most "complaint" I hear is:

Hero X is too strong after they get rolled over.

Latest example being "bristle too strong". But nobody checked if hero has same talents/aghs/skills as 6.90. (Plot twist: it has)

Dear fellow established members of Lagabuse community. 7.00 has introduced biggest changes in form of:
1) terrain
2) HUD and quality of life features (take the time to check the new SETTINGS menu throughly. You will surely find some cool options that will help you improve your gamestyle by a lot)

Stuff as hero talents/aghs/skills changes are to be taken as simply "balance patch". 95% of this stuff is same as 6.90

Hello,
I am very disappointed in forced push of v7 map.
For me map is chaotic, slow and perspective is also kind of weird.

I gave it chance, but games still feel to be really boring.
 
Why not give users possibility to pub legacy map again ?

On the contrary.. v7 rewards fast plays. And all together given the zoom and HUD and quality of life features (like clicking items, or heroes to fast warn allies) it's a much faster playstyle.

Also the terrain itself incentives:
1) more roshan plays / fights
2) more ganks (easier/faster to go to/from midlane anywhere)
3) supporting (wards 0 gold and passive gold income is increased)

I literally have 45-60 fps in 6.90 while on max performance CPU/GPU settings.
While in 7.03b 200+fps on low/silent profile.

For me 6.90 is literally unplayable  :boy:

However not sure why we skipped to 7.04b ..last good/solid/stable version was 7.03b2.

Well as I said. From personal experience you're not the only ones that confronted with this situation. Similar was on RGC, and the most anti-update were the Peru and Bolivia communities. Europe was first on the band-wagon. Regardless.. now everyone admits update is ok.

Also I noted that in current top 10 ladder, analyzing stats, there are close to literally 0 GOD (carry) players. Maybe I`m wrong, but I'm really into stats and numbers.

Let me toss my 2 cents in the pit (as someone who have seen the transition from 6>7 enough times on enough places).

THE MAIN REASON why people reject "new" is because they are comfortable with their current skill level. They are afraid of losing their place in the ladder and amongst peers. It has nothing to do with map being this way or that way. Learning new things is "hard" after the age of 20+ (applicable not only to dota). By comparison is you playing 4years getting better at CS:GO, nailing headshots right and left and then you are forced to change the mouse.

THE MAIN REASON why people want the "new" is because they uncovered and used all the tricks and knowledge in current state. They need something / an update to keep them on their toes. New stuff to discover, to re-kindle their love for dota and not play on auto-pilot mode. (this is me; .. I'm currently bored of 7.03b2, been waiting for 4months to switch to 7.04b0). Because I wanna test new builds, create/reshape the meta, experiment.

As for "u change map, I stop playing dota" it never happens. NEVER. Dota is our drug, always has been. If you don't realize that, just remember last time when u got banned and you were counting the minutes before unban.

tl;dr: Players who say new map is shit, without proper proof, are simply the kind of people who play a hero x100 times and improve nothing; learn nothing. Same level, same strategy, same item build. Zero flexibility. The new map is a breath of fresh air.

SIDENOTES:

1. Rest assured DracoL1ch is continuing with his updates (all be it in a harsh context of war and impracticalities). Though can't see why is this ever a reason to upgrade/not upgrade , since you;'re talking about 6.90 (2019) ... hello 2023? and there are plenty solid/stable versions since then; all of them more stable than 6.90

2. Iccup not only plays 6.83 but it's also a spin-off on Draco's map. It's not official. Also they cannot easily update their map, cause they are selling their own iccup skins, so they inhouse develop map. They do not have the desire/knowledge of Draco's team, so they cannot improve/update map that often. Iccup is pure communism. People have no say and they are wrongly mislead in believing their map version is ok. Icccup (like Gplay) are milking clients. Closed-loop/enviroment benefits them. Here are a few examples: they don't have widescreen-support, they don;t have zoom support. Features that do not change how the map is played, but are a modern necessity.

3. New map(s) along the visible updates/changelogs also have under-the-hood upgrades. Example: detailed statistics that can be picked off the hostbot and parsers; improved localized performance; updates to GUI;

4. If it helps the administration to move forward, I can enable and open the beta statistics collector (dotabuff for dota1) for lagabuse. https://d1map.net/stats

1) We all know 9/10 votes it's too high( so high, it rarely happens even in obvious feed + item destroy games)
2) only 4 ally votekick can be abused (seend it happen a lot .. mad kidz or 4 stacking)

You draw a line and u get 4 ally + 2 enemy seems the best choice. OR not really BEST .. but still better than the 2 options presented in the poll.

Yes. It can be coded. No need to check that ..  :boy:
To be fair, if games are meant to be balanced and good quality, kicking a feeder/antigamer won't/shouldn't win you the game. If you win a game after kicking the feeder, that makes the game imbalanced from the start .. (debate)

So this all discussion is w/o purpose, since the only solution would be removing the votekick all together.

From my perspective:
1) remove votekick
2) play the games as they are, if someone is antigaming (report , ban) and take the loss .. shit happens

Removing votekick should enforce users to report more antigamers/feeders etc. So moving the "justice" factor from their own hands to moderator's. Which should be overall better.

You just speak of position of someone who plays for win and if he thinks game is lost even if its min 10 it should be auto ff.

But many people play for fun they enjoy the process and dont want to go ff in 10 minutes if you lost mid. And if you say after 10 minutes its lost im afk you ruin their fun

The notion of "fun" is subjective and selfish. Most players "play for fun" only when they are feeding/losing/having a bad game. IF they have a good game, they start trashing the "fun players" around them.

Playing as core, being highest PSR, and getting focused from start to end, no matter how much "fun" you try to add to the equation, it never ends well. So at that point, it's me continuing playing (getting fucked over and over) for some dude playing sniper and having 30cs min 10, but playing for "fun".
That's the problem. IF all the players in team are playing for fun .. there's no chance of winning. We can;t all have fun (unless we are a 5man stack). Someone has to work.

When was your last nostack, average PSR game where a team lost, and all the 5 players went like .. "ya, but it was fun". And none of them had something to complaint and be mad about.

However such cases occur from time to time, but they are either in high lvl games (where everyone played their best game), or very low level games (where everyone had fun, tested heroes and other stuff). But that's like 5-10% of the games.

TL;DR; You know who is keeping high spirits during an act for the sake of others fun ?

No. Many ppl play carry, cause they watch too much youtube.
And mainly because, to be fair... support is boring.
Everyone congrats the carry for winning, and blames the support for losing.

on rgc ppl play better , and is not much about psr as behaviour ppl on this realm to me like im their target to be provoked and blamed to make their days better?????? what im here????? NO!

I agree with this part. The moment you are flagged by the community as GOOD PLAYER / BAD PLAYER. Good players will be focused, bad players will be flamed. It's hard to get rid of the stigma.

Only playing undercover or being an average-joe and fly under the community-radar , can fix your game-experience. RGC hasn't got this issue because of the huge player base, so it takes a lot more time for you to make name (either good/bad) there. But once that happens, same story as here.

If you type !ff and go afk then you waste time for others. Maybe they want to play even if they lose because they play for fun and not tryhard. Or maybe they see possibility to win game even if you think its over and with you they could win.

You are wrong. There are such games/cases, where game it is lost (just a matter of time) .. but enemy has no early tower push. And because of that some "trihard" defender can delay game with additional 10-15min or more. The only reason you should keep playing in those kind of games would be in hope some of the enemy drop/lag/leave.

I personally, got games where all my 3 players went afk (after someone dropped), considering game was over (mainly cause they feeded and their game was shit and teh guy who dropped was core). In the end I lost AA game with 32/4/16 score. While team feeding left-and-right. In this case I was the "trihard-defender". And delayed the game by 15min since the moment they went afk.

So you tell me I should have posted 4 players for losing hope ? And yes, even I aknolwedged game was lost. I simply continued playing because I considered enemies don;t deserve this ez win. But in the process I did waste the time of my 3 allies.  :boy:

It's fine. Go play some games, so you can remember the issue and appreciate the PSR system/balance on Lagabuse (as imperfect as it is).

Maybe try to format your text/formulate your ideas better.
Read it 2 times, understood only half of it.

Balance system it's ok(ish) .. but you need to add another layer on top of it.

Layer 1: I see a lot of ppl making free-games, where they let 1700+ psr play with 1400 PSR. That's non-balanced from start.

Try to play at least min 1600, or max 1600 (depending on the case) and balance will have more effect.

Layer 2: SD/AR modes are also harder to balance, since most of players are not comfortable with playing heroes outside their hero-pool.

Layer 3: Stackers. Any game with more than 3 players stacking will get fucked. Ez as that.

Layer 4: Roles. Too many 5-man-carry games lately..

TL;DR If you play min/max PSR adjusted games , without stackers and mode AP, you get best chances for balanced games.
