Maybe there should be gamenames like Ap Sd Eu 2000+ or something like that, when there are enough games played to make that kind of division.

I agree, even in ICCUP there is such a division. But you need people power to do it, cause it can't be done automatically but manually with reports

DotA Discussion / Re: Fact of Day vol.2

Wow not too sure about that one..there are times and reasons why the neutrals attack you even though your allied creeps are near, maybe someone got confused and didn't test it out properly?

i find this tour as a joke

I know you're semi-trolling, but I feel like responding to this message so what the heck, call me a troll-feeder.
Anyway, I wouldn't call it a joke because it is organized mostly by one guy (balls) and he should be congratuled for even trying to do it - others can only whine and bitch about no tour existing, and when someone tries to do it they write stuff like "this will fail, boo!" instead of supporting the idea and maybe help out in some way.

However, considering it's organized by someone who perhaps isn't as experienced in this, it is reasonable to expect that it wouldn't be something special, and things will go wrong. Like setting fixed game times when matches are played - it's something that noone has managed to do at online tournaments because it just isn't possible. IT's the fuckin' internet and noone can make you do anything, especially when u have something else to do at just that time.

So that's one mistake, from which I hope you will learn - next time, you should set time frames of about 2 days (or even one) and let the teams settle on when exactly to play. If they don't settle, they both lose points (if group stage) or the next bracket's winner gets instant passage over to the next round (if knockout stage).

The other mistake is letting last-minute changes..next time, schedule the start of the tour a little later and set a date when all applications are final and there can be no changes. That way there won't be exploitations and registering teams and players at random. By not setting some ground rules, you evoke irresponsible behavior, which makes the tour attractive to less mature players and less skilled teams, making the entire tour look badly. And all because of something you forgot to mention :)

I repeat - know this is an unofficial tour and a one-man organization (mostly), so there is a risk that there wouldn't be enough teams or matches in the end (if they don't agree and matches get cancelled and stuff). But think of it this way - the more things you define and the less you let others decide (and abuse/manipulate), the more attractive will it be to mature (and consequently, more skilled) players/teams, which would mean there's a far greater possibility that there will be no or minimal problems with applications and match set-ups and other things like that.

So, this is ok for starters and I support the idea and all that are taking part in the organization and the teams in the tournament itself, but everyone shouldn't expect too much and should instead look at it as an ice-breaker for upcoming tournaments where mistakes will be corrected using the experience picked up from this first one, so that slowly the quality will rise. Who knows, maybe the PD.eu staff themselves are looking at how this is played out, so they can learn to make that alleged "official" Pd.eu tour as good as possible. Thumbs up at Balls, and HF at participants :)

Btw I myself am interested in organizing some non-PD.eu tours (no need to mention in more detail) so this is something that is useful to me as well :)

Btw2 I always write novels on forums like this, ppl TLDR me all the time, so np.

DotA Discussion / Re: biggest bug ever
« on: March 31, 2011, 15:54 »
That bug exists since 20.000 before JC, it's a WARCRAFT3 engine bug, Playdota.Eu cant do nothing about it, Icefrog can't do nothing about it, only BLIZZARD could do something but since they don't care you'll have to live with it.

And next time, use the search feature on the forum.

Cheers.

Well I think Valve will do something about it  ;)

Music / Re: METAL topic
« on: September 25, 2010, 15:58 »
Wow didn't know this would evolve to such an infantile (and ignorant btw) discussion.
Gj @ Ajax for providing unbiased info and not telling someone a certain genre of music sux just because you don't like it (I'm reffering to Z0di4c's original post :P).
Black metal, like most extreme metal music genres, is a kind of music you need to acquire a taste for. I know very few ppl who immediately liked it at their first listening (at least not the old school kind, there are a lot of subgenres which are perhaps more "friendly" to a first-listener). This doesn't apply only to extreme metal genres, but to other music genres (i.e. acid fusion, trip-hop, minimal psytrance and such).
