Title: High ping on LA

Do you think that someone is hacking me so i will always get lag and can't play with LA bot ? I did a maphack report on these people recently, not sure if they want to revenge or something. Maphack report is as below.

2-) s/p mean = seri/paralele port. U can try to check your port number.

He asked them and they told him everything is ok.

5 days ago, ing-lamma told me he has similar problem. He said he is having higher ping (60 ms +) than usually (20 ms) since new year. He also asked his provider, they told him they didn't change anything and everything seems to be ok.
ing-lamma's friend with other provider is having same problem and sadly, I'm not excuse.
I used to have 20 ms, now I almost always have 60 or bit more.

hareluyaboy is probably from Slovakia; me, ing-lamma and his friend are from Czech Rep.

Also forum was loading slowly but all other sites were ok. I tested ping in cmd, on LA I had 400 ms, on other sites it was like 15 ms. Result from speedtest was the same.

Now I'm in lobby with ping 59 ms, result from pingtest.net is 10 ms.

The truth is they are ordinary ppl like we. They sit on their buts and answer calls. He will talk u about that or with some1 else about some other problem. They work 8 hours and its no matter to them what they talks about. Think about that.

Can the admin please check if there's any changes on the LA server lately ? For example Location / Network provider change ? Is it possible that the server try to block connection from certain regions during peak hour to prevent network traffic congestion ? Because usually the ping is very bad during 18:00 - 24:00. And ping will drop to normal after midnight.

in that time everyone back from school and from work, everyone turn on youtube, downloading something ... and provider can't support that. probably provider have some problems. that happens to me and my friends sometimes rarely and only in night period or when we have holidays. after 2, 3 days everything is ok

Yea understood Efko, but how to explain that i don't have lag / spike when i play with other bots / other platform during 18:00 - 24:00 period. If provider can't support that, i should have lag / spike to whatever bots / platform which i play right ? But not, i have problem only with the LA bot .. others bots i have stable ping around 25ms ..

Same goes to the others who has the same problem .. even Cerealie formatted his pc / reinstall warcraft 3 but lag / spike with LA bot still exists.

Post by: Astaroth on January 29, 2013, 22:42: Traceroute is used to analyze the route from your computer to final server through every server the data needs to go. As result you'll get times (in ms) so you can see where is problem.

If you are using Windows (I guess you do), go to cmd (Start -> Run -> cmd.exe) and type "tracert www.lagabuse.com".

Im from Italy,

On 29th was higher but finally playable

Now seems ok

I hope it's only LA server

I tried *LTG* games and ping has been always 41-44, playable

Ping high and than low should be bad Jitter

No:

Google: min=34 , max=38, (mid=35)

LA: min=57, max=59 (mid=58)

PS:today i started the game with decent ping and then in game 330+- ofc unplayable :(

1) Start -> run -> cmd.exe
2) Type "tracert www.lagabuse.com"
3) Take screenshot

Do this 3 - 4 times in row, especially when you are having higher ping, not when ping is ok.

Before this start i could download movie + play dota in one time and no lag at all .....i cant understand what happen ...my ping jump from 25 to 150 ms , but spikes are nonstop ...i try this traceroute and send to my provider and he said that everything is ok ....when i do traceroute google and lagabuse ...it is the same...difference maybe 10 ms ...and best thing is that in game i have ping 120 ms so i do that tracert and this is result ...i just dont understand

I am using the same provider as Wisher .. my tracert measurement results are as attached. However, i didn't do this test when i am having big spike in game because i didn't play anymore in LA bot until problem solve.

Hopefully some experts can help out.

but then I realised that my provider is buying net from germany and croatia and problem was in croatia.

When I pinged google my ping was normal until I reached croatia then my ping started to raise like hell, so I asked my ex provider to change my path toward google and after couple of tries we finally solved the problem.

So just ask your provider can he change your path.

well that is why I told him to ask his provider to change his path, for them its 2 sec job if they want to do that.

tnx man,i turned off my firewall...and now its working fine :D but i can hear weird sound while im in game,its the sound of opening folders,u know what i mean.. and when thats happend i lag.. maybe some1 hacked my pc?

u mybe got virus. i got this Sirefef.FB.Gen virus few days ago on other pc. it couses some wierd sounds + high ping (250ms and more by speedtest.net). You cant use internet proper and w3 is almost impossible to run online

The trace is kinda crazy. It is something like:
CZ (Prague) -> Austria (Wien/Vienna) -> Switzerland (between Bern and Zürich) -> UK (north London) -> Germany (the home of LA.com)

Regarding to tracert, problem should be in Switzerland but when I do ping to that server, it is around 13 - 15 ms. The real problem is in UK, ping to that server is around 200 ms.

CZ is next to Germany, so why don't take trip around Europe before going to desired destination ;D

No change, but last 2 - 3 days pings on LagAbuse 300 - 3500ms = unplayable.
Can anyone give me short and concrete answer?
