It reminds me of that feature that ReplaySeeker has
But it is not your case (lmao, i`m always having similar cases but not the one people need)

ReplaySeeker has 'turbo' feature
When you activate it, warcraft 3 is getting 'maximized' flag, so it uses all resources it can use to work. When you minimize Warcraft 3 window, it sets this flag to '0', so warcraft 3 uses only part of resources, so fps are usually 10-30 at this state

I wanted to say, Warcraft 3 manages to reduce PC resources usage while the game window is minimized, but uses all needed resources while game window is maximized

Still it is not your case, lol
Thanks for another useless information, monax

edit: i meant 'focused' instead of 'maximized'

Well idk its not 10-30 its fixed 30. I'm sure its mosly boarderd window mode in eurobattle i will try to disable it. I also think the problem is about focus. It loses focus to war3  somehow and when I alt tab and come back it regains.

It might be OS related since happend after windows update but i think it might be fixed without reinsalling OS.

Aren`t you using 'native fullscreen'? It is best way of running Warcraft 3 i believe

You should be able to fix them in settings by unchecking the "Fixed ratio" box

You can also try this:

Go to registry (Run>regedit.exe) to this : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III\Video and change Lockfb to 0

@FataLity- if you still have lags contact me and we'll discuss other options.
