in XP if you unlocked it to move icons on it you could with your mouse grab it on the edge and pull it to make it bigger 2x/3x etc I think, but in 7 didnt try it?

some graphic stuffs is more difficult to run then other like games on different settings so some these upgrades can slow system, if fast PC it doesnt matter but on older its pretty visible, cause of things that were made for any coding system but can be implemented on older system too, if the remake is well made np ;)
just saying how it works, know some of these improvements that slowed my laptop, fast for laptop thou, down :D

agree BG desktop doesnt slow your PC but other settings yes and winXP UI is harder then classic WIN98 UI switch to it and choose Performance

its quicker to double click on your favorite tools and games then to find it at some which I dont use often do it your way
or on win7 you can have all on main bar cause its not messing it with windows but it just shows on icon how many windows is opened under this program :D

Hyperdesk Darkmatter Subspace (Dark Blue)
CursorFX
As you can see everything is totally changed (Player,Taskbar,Many new widgets,icons and more)
You can find them all on TPB (The Pirate Bay) for free (Fully cracked)
And my screen is 1080p also :)

Internet explorer ftw I'd say and I had to hide my frozen throne.exe cause it takes too much memory (it gives fps lagg) to display the icon of it on my desktop and ofc I'm too lazy to change the icon. I can run warcraft 3 though, with 3 fps max. on minimun graphics with an additional three extra power fans cooling my system to prevent overheating. Do not mock me with it :(

Ok ok here is my real background nothing much and if you think 'omg so little games and no warcraft on background' i made a map even for warcraft and an other map with all my game shortcuts cause it became too many xD anyways unorganized desktop ftw:
