So, new era in dota2 begins. Its been so long the patch 6.x existed. I hope new on will not have such big impact in game. Im kidna excited and feared that the game mechanics will change too much.

To be perfectly honest this patch is much more HotS than LoL inspired. The talent trees are pretty blatant example.

Although they're also pushing for
- lower XP requirements (faster leveling)
- apparently more gold over time sources (more bounty runes, GPM talents)
- more jungle camps (with more rewarding bounty/abilities) but with longer respawn timer
- several extra spots all over the map you might want to control (new shrines and runes)
so overall trying for less afk farm and more team-brawling all-around-the-map faster-paced (and potentially shorter) game, which - again - sounds more HotS than LoL to me.

I wouldn't discard talent trees just yet. Unlike with skill and item builds, these can't just catch up or be re-adjusted later in the game, adding at very least another layer of long term planning that may reward you for prediction and strategy, rather than just letting you make reactionary choices, which I find interesting.

Dota already hard enough to adjust new meta and now they created a new game from lol hots and dota2. This is totally dota 3.


Btw i have laptop with 950m and i cant be able to play on high settings at test server ( Max 35 40 fps). And I am sure i have better pc more than %50 of players, Lets see how many players gonna play this month and next month.

Don't know why u re all so negative about this new patch. It seems really nice. Backpack is just best thing that they invented, solving so much problems for supps with carrying wards, smokes and other stuff that only was helding place in inventory.

Talent tree is nice idea, but i think they re gonna balance it more, since some of those powerups are just useless. Now u can build hero in more ways depending on that what's happening in game.

And thanks to that changes game will be much more dynamic. You ll be able roam more and more without falling behind too much

I think every one will get used to it. Game without any changes would die beacause eventually all players would get bored. Just gotta adjust to changes, get new tactis. Maybe layout is copied from other games but this is right direction that dota is going to imo.

The changes invades to much in basic dota mechanics.
Ive been doing some reserches over the night and gotta say this gona be most unbalanced and unfair dota2 patch ever.
Been playing some games in test mode and I jsut cant get used to this game anymore. The talent system is totally screwed, its unfair and even giving some heroes -30 sec resp time, thats sick!
Been playing am and sk so far and gotta say both are freaking amazing! I could even say 2 much amazing cause they seemt to be overpowered 2 much.

I will just wait for some games in pro scene with this new patch. Till now playign in test and later in unranked mode is only option.
If I could gay i would say the fix of the 7.0 will be released as soon as 7.0.

People always complain when a change happens, they fucking recreated dota 1 to dota 2 and there were dogshits like you complaining about pointless shit and then play the game cuz they constantly receive brain ddos attacks. like all changes, roshan more balanced spot now i guess.. jungle is huge.... i guess no more 2 supports just straight inta lol system with professional jungler xD

talents are good, some needs to be tweaked ez kids.

Insane a fuck. Ive been playing it twice now and it can beat anyone on mid. Enemies must avoid hitting by mk, his 1k range skill and oh you can turn yourself int oa tree xD
Still dunno what time ulti is viable to use.
Still, hero seems to be really good as for now.

My thoughts on 7.00 and the heroes I play the most:

-The pre-game stuff: I like it a lot, it's good, I like the fact how you can buy items before the game starts and you can suggest heroes

-The HUD, it's kinda too small, you have constant [ + ] over your skills, you have to hold ALT to see stats!

-The Jungle changes, Shrines and Roshan pits - 4 Jungles with bounties spawning in each, too much bullshit, too much LoL, neutrals spawn interval is 2 minutes, it's bullshit, the shrines, you can teleport in your fucking jungle and you can heal, nice fucking joke. The Roshan pit is in better position now, more open fights at the roshan pit and such stuff.

-Denying to the neutrals, shittiest thing ever, causes your hero to have minumum 26 sec respawn time, like what the actual fuck man. What if you die to a neutral creep by mistake at level 1, bam 26 sec respawn time.

-Reworked items - Helm and the fucking Drum, worst fucking idea to rework them, Helm was one of the basic items for most of the carries, Troll, Gyro, PA, etc..etc.., also drum was good enough item but now they made it a fucking support item.

-Reworked heroes/New Aghanims - RIP Lycan, AM's Aghanim is extra Linkens, Necro's Rework was meh, Buffing Riki and Slark even more with adding them the Aghanim's upgrade, RIP techies, he was shit before but now he's even more shit, Zeus Aghanim, I don't know how to feel about it. Rest was crap

-The Attributes at lvl 10/15/20/25 - I have nothing against them, just most of them are real piece of shit, for example; Tinkers lvl25 - +100 DMG on Laser, what the fuck, won't change anything when Tinker hits lvl25
Pucks lvl25 - 300g/s, probably when puck hits fucking 25 he'll have most of his items, 300g/s won't make any difference.
Furions lvl25 - +6 treants spawned, more food for the enemies OSFrog
Enigma's lvl25 - +8 demons spawned from his 2nd skill, more food for the enemies

-The Monkey King it self, I don't think he'll be like that forever, they'll nerf his 1st skill and his ult, cause they're so op.

Also RIP Invoker.

I played it no more than 1-2 games a day now.

There are things i like personally, the preloader is great, the prebuy is good also, what i don't like is the tree talent, and the new map. Even if u accept all the changes they made to heroes as a balance of sort, with the map getting bigger and especially the talent tree which i hate the most cos it changed the game. No matter how much we fool ourself, it is not dota anymore, when u change it so much.

I might play dota 2(3 or what ever) but its not dota anymore.

What we left of dota is still alive here for now. It's the end of an era.

The changes to the terrain are pretty big, but you get used to those in a short time if you play it.

About the talent tree: I really like the ones on the support heroes, because they make them more relevant in the later stages of the game too, on the cores, its more difficult to choose talents, because the removal of the +stats is pretty big, so manfighting is harder without the proper items.

More bounty runes, so roaming is better than ever, and junglers are  staying too, no matter how much people are giving hate on them.

This fucking monkey though!! So annoying to play against, (although i didn't play 7.01 yet) needs serious nerfs, as all new heroes did, shortly after introducing.

Its 1 weekn since im playing 7.00 and now 7.01 and this is hell hard. New map terrain is so different u msut learn new creeps spawn time, new ways to run away, new hud that fuckign sucks so much Im pissed everythime when I have to buy something.
