unable to connect to battlenet
« on: January 11, 2012, 18:19 »
at home Im able to connect normally to battlenet but when Im in dorm (where cca. 2000 people are at same network) i cant connect...
when i click on battlenet i says initializing connection to battlenet and it stucks there... if i wait for about 5 mins then on my gproxy I get messages:
tcpsocket error <recv> econnreset
local socket disconnected due to socket error
???
network is very fast so i dont think thats the problem...
i tried to fix it with battle.net Diagnostic Tool but it didnt help, i allways get "error!0" for any ip i tried connect to...

nope, still nothing, cant connect to other channel, reinstall didnt help eather...
I think it is because 2000 people has the same ip adress because some people on internet posted that they had the same problem when 5 or more people are on same router ... and everything works fine when Im playing at home...

Do you play on same notebook when at home as well as in dorm? If yes I guess gproxy is set well.

Maybe some ports are blocked on your dorm's net (but I don't think so, why would it be blocked?!)

I remember my friend who was on dorm had problem with other ppl. He wasn't able to play anything online, he wasn't even able to send an e-mail coz others was uploading something all the time so he had literally no upload.
