Good thinking, but still i dont like the starting items.

dont forget his AGI melee hero, low starting HP.
RIKI DOES need heals on start, if you just sit around and get exp will not be enough, enemy can counter you on lvl 6 with wards, everyone overrate riki, if not babysitted his easy target.

ALSO i dont like the "HE CAN SOLO ALL" because truly he cant, it depends on the hero item build as well as enemy items & disables.

take for example RASHTA, hex-->Ulty-->stun--> Big trouble.
Since dota is 5v5 game dont expect to solo anyone.

By my opinion CORE items whould be:
Power Threads (on STR)
Diffusal (as fast as posible)
1xBraicer
1xWrath band
Vladmirs

Late items:
MANTA
BFly

In some cases EVEN A BKB IS NEEDED, depending on how many Disables have the enemy team.

riki needs gem, arcane boots, refresher, bloodstone, lothar and dagger

gem is needed so you can see yourself and you must buy it when you reach lvl6
