i think there is no typical item build for invoker. depends on role u play in game. anyway u will also have a use of scepter and eul.

I think invoker + bloodstone sucks , but... anyway, there are very much item builds for invoker.

It  doesnt really becuase you get hp ,mana both things he needs ,you get regen also very helpful and you get more charges and you respawn faster and later game if not good builded invo it can easily die.

As for items builds ,there ,as said here before,are lots of different kinds...he can go dps with strong dmg with desolator and with forge spirits and with never it is even better.
Support is use of euls to remowe maybe their aoe supporter(thrall) ,carry(veno,maybe never),tanker(sven,earth),because those are best starters of ganks ,and than you can just do tornado ,mana burn ,and meteor and blast,if you have fast fingers and scepter
Carry support is use of killing in team fights with combo of items like use of assault courias with desolator and forge spirits,shiva slow,mana burn,radiance ,ghost walk etc nearlly same as support but you also use massive dmg than invoker can have,

Dagger is very good item when they run,blink behind and ice wall and etc

not always scepter. If u play carry (alacrity + Cold Snap) with lifesteal + buriza, scepter is not necesary because cooldown is low.
Cold snap - 20 sec
Alacrity - 15

anyway,some ppl(saw ek0 this time) are talking about using 100 of spells like they dont have mp or cd...
