What if pro joins noob game... ban?
« on: January 19, 2010, 01:18 »
Hi, I have a little problem with pro players. When we have got 2 hardnoobs in our team we still can win, but if there are pros in opposite team we can do nothing to stop them. Is there any rule that allow us raport and ban pros in noob games? I know, that they have a lot of fun, getting godlikes etc., but is it fair? Votekick is not the solution, because opposite team is fine with godlike team mate, so they wont vote...
I am talking about players playing 90% games with "pro/experts" in game title.

Ofc, you can report a pro in noob game. If he will get a ban or not, moderator decides.

Before you answer, read that one more time man.

Pros in noob games and noobs in pro games... how to decide whos noob and who is pro. I think its like talking about existing god or how big is universe. Neverending story.
Thats a simple point of view.

I dont mind if my teammates are trax, riki, gondar, snip, and they all are buying vanguards and bf. But when one of enemies "random" ES in RD mode, then he gangs/roams and grows like a hell, gets kelens and kills all my team in blink-stun combo, I am just upset...
Anyway thank you for the answer, if next time somebody like him will join, I will report and you will decide.

It is easy to determinate if someone is pro. You only have to check the stats of that person and look what games did he play. Look if the name of all the games are "Pro" and how many did he win. How much kills / death, and denny / last hit did he do. Also checking score... it's not very difficult to determinate who is pro and who not.

I agree with teamplayer, but checking all players takes time... maybe some day bot will help us with that? count rows where game title like '%pro%' or '%expert%' and show result...

Good suggestion, but I'm not sure if it can be coded.

No, it's not able. First of all because someone could avoid it with "pr0" (It's a cero), Prof, pr0f, expertz etc etc. There are too much variables to avoid "Pro" or "Expert".

I'm not talking for a way to avoid it. And "prof" "expertz" can be detected.

Well, the program could check everyone and check his stats, kills, deaths, last hits, denies, score, game played, and much more variables and determinate when someone is pro. I think that this could be able to do but then you should forget about the name of the games.

And what if he hasn't played games? Played 1 (or more)game and lost?

Then he can't be considered like a pro. He is nothing, he is not pro but he is not noob. He should play a determinate number of games to have a status.

I think this is the only way to determinate who is or not pro.
