Almost all of the guys with 1900+ psr are teamed up.
You are not so good or neither have 2-3 good people to play with.
What to do to go at least over 1800?
Patience and many games. Your skill is not so important.

The formula calculation the PSR has two things which comes in favor in this situation:

1. Winning psr is with a bigger weight over losing psr. The very first example is if 10 players with 1500 are playing. All of them will have +17/-16 (the base is 33). Winning gives more.

2. Reducing the base
At 1500psr, the base is 33. After 1700, it becomes 10. It is further reduced if your psr is exceeding the other 4 teamplayer's average psr with 70. If it is over the difference of 187, you will have +0/-0.

Let's say you have something like 1700 psr. You join a "1550+ psr" game (150 below yours). The game is full and the host do !balance. Since you have high for this game psr, you get weak player in your team - their average psr is way below yours. Thus your base goes very small. Example: 5 playes with 1550 vs 4 players with 1500 and you with 1680. The game is fairly balanced and you have +1/-0. This is because of reducing the base the rounding it in favour of winning. +1/-0 or +2/-1, it's not hard to find such games. You will lose many such games, but eventually will win many too. When you reach 1750, you aim for "1600 psr" games, and one by one, you will go up to 1800.

So, regular players,
Pick your games carefully and play more, and you will go over 1800 with no doubt.

PS: I bet that's the reason why so many players with ~1800 psr are not good. A fairly decent player should exceed 1800 in less than 100 games.

What's the point of this topic ? If the answer is : your psr is directly proportional to your games number ..than it's lame , clearly untrue , pointless . And since it's such an overtold tail there is no need to discuss it.

PS : i can find so many contrary to this theory that it will be a waste of time to number them all. (and not theoretically rare cases like you point them)

Isn't it?! Until you reach you true limit, you will go higher as the games go higher. And when you reach that limit of yours going up and down around it, if you follow that guide you will go even higher.

The system is the same as in HoN, but there it was normal to host a 1900+ game and to wait 20-30 minutes until it is full(the players' pool is bigger). Here, such players are only ~50. So it's quite normal if you are >1800 to have psr above your team with more than 150.

Overtold tail? The last two games I played, without looking for that score, I had +1/-0. It's very easy to find such games, especially when the host do !balance.

Please, "find so many contrary to this theory". Let's do some mannered arguing.

I go first.
You max psr is 1869. I have reached it before more than 100 games. For these amount of games you haven't go higher. That's your skill. At it you have like ~50% ratio. With such psr it's not hard to find games in which you have +1/-0. Your last game have been such - you and firetruck^ have had both +1/-0 . So if you have played in such games for the past 100 games, you would have won at least 1/3 of them and by now would be over 1900.

Your theory about gambling on +1/-0 games works and i don't argue about it .

What is an overtold story : your psr is directly proportional to your games number and not your skill . This is what you tryed to point at in the first topic , this is what i find not-true. On this case i can find many contrary that it will be a waste of both time to discuss it ... and i think you got it too :

PS : the reason why i didn't got to 1900+ i didn't had time to play in the last 1-2 months. I play only suport , i need good teammates , for that i need time . (atm i'm playing 1-2 random games per night ..when i can spare 1-2 hours).

PS 2: Patience and many games. Your skill is not so important.
Your and your teammates skill is the only thing that matters.

Sorry but i can't continue atm , i need to leave for the next days but i will try to get back in the discussion asap. (that if we don't agree on the fact that the ranking system of playdota is directly affected only by your team skill and it's not directly proportional to your games number - after you go 100-200+ -)

The skill matters until you reach your max psr. After that you are stuck. But I claim that you can go higher than that without being better. That's what I meant with "the skill doesn't matter". If you skill is low, your max psr will be low.

I play mostly random games with random people. If you have good friends, you don't need to gamble. Playing in a stack makes the winning much easier and is better to gamble more rather than playing safe for the minimum. Even by playing support, you can win decent amount of that 100 games (which you have played for the past 2 months) and you would still have higher psr than at the moment.
You need game to get psr. If you are above the average, your psr will grow until you reach ~200 games, but after that if you start playing on safe, the more games you play, the more psr you will get. So, yes, psr is proportional to the game.

#1 player has ~1000 games. #2 has 250 less games. What will happen if at the moment if #1 stops playing and #2 catch up with the games? Do you think for 250 games #2 can grow with 40 psr? Simply by joining 1700-1750 psr games (1800 are really rare): half of them he might have +0/-0, but in another half or third he will have +1/-0 and by winning half of them he will get 250/6 > 40 psr. More games = more psr (for players above average).

Let's talk when I have 300 played games, ok? With 130 games I am 100th, but after 200 more, I think I can reach top20.

First of all let's make clear that we are talking about accounts with 100-200+ games. So let's clear this out.

I totally understood what are you talking about but saying that your psr is directly proportional to your games number is false. (like the true - false value of anything)

Is false and you know it , you are just trying to bend the obvious in something that has no relation to.. let me explain :
Obvious : number of games doesn't have any influence to your psr.
Obvious examples :
1)in the math formula of the psr no value = to the number of games.
2)You max psr is 1869. I have reached it before more than 100 games ( i got to it in probably 500 games)
3)Get a child with down syndrome and make him play 1 million games ..i think he won't get pass 1550 psr.

Bottom line : more games = higher psr -> FALSE

The only thing that you are trying to explain , and not that +games=+psr tail (Patience and many games. Your skill is not so important -bullshit-

)., is : that it's a way , a posibility , a chance (%) that you can grow your psr above your "true value" . But frankly if you manage to win a game , even if it is 1 from 1000 - +1/-0 , then you certainly are better than your enemy (at least that game ..that one game from 1000 played) and you certainly deserve that +1 psr.

PS : let me know when someone , anyone using this tehnique get's to top 20

I don't get what the 2 of u blabber about u both state the obvious.It's simple as long as pd.eu ladder is a 5v5 match up the psr will have flaws there's nothing much anyone can do to fix it.If one day pd.eu starts a 1v1/2v2 ladder then by all means show us ur skills.

Worst bullshit ever.
To grow up you need a game of your level, no matter what psr, if you get in a game of total noob tards (there are a lot of under 1800 afaik) its not good for your psr and for you (u will get mad).
