Ofc this is a reponse to the 1 million dollar tournament of dota 2. But with such a prize pool we will see LOL getting more and more profesional. Im not quite sure of how the e-sport in general is going to develop. But u can see that e-sports are getting more and more attention. I just hope that dota or dota 2 will keep being the most played game cause it deserved it. Was the start of this genre but LOL is getting bigger and bigger. also RIOT have recently release a new map, with completly different gamestyle of dota. So LOL is evolving really quick and im seeing it as the top game, its not dota2 anymore.

So what you guys think its the future of dota2?

I played LOL for a while, and I can tell you that it really suck. HoN is a very good game, maybe ever better then DotA, but LOL suck hard.

i played lol as well i have a lvl 30 summoner with 2 6300 ip champions, and havent spend a cent on that. And i enjoy LOL and i think its a great game. but dota is way better. But now that LOL is becomming more competitive it wont suck that much now. Better players and stuff.

LoL gameplay is good, gankz/receptz ... But i really don't like graphic. Played around 3-4 months i get lvl 30 and 2-3 6300 heroes. But still Dota 1 is best

I think he knows everything what was said/written about DotA 2 and even more coz of the Tournament.
I think it will be good game, just DotA with newer (doesn't mean better) graphic and some extra features (graphs with gold earned for example). I believe it will get better and better coz Valve care about their games and customers and they listen to them. Valve is very special studio.
There are things I don't like about DotA 2 but I will definitely try it. I'm curious what will happen with competitive scene, will they play DotA or DotA 2? Or both? We will see...

let me remind you something, cause i notice u well know the LOL scene. When LOL was approved to be in the WCG? When dota was approved to WGC?. Since a lot of ppl will agree with me on this that WCG is the most prestiguos torunament for e-sports. I would say yea LOL is competitive. With his season 1 tournament at dreamhack they reach 1 million ppl watching the stream and a hugh prize pool of 100k as well. I know what u will say, dota has more players than LOL. Well that true, but im saying it wont be very weird if a lot of players actually switch do LOL.

With high price pools, the games start to take more lvl. When i played lol for the first time, was like 4-6 months ago. I was able to watch the "pros" from that time. Is not hard to find out why ppl though was a noob game. I watched some videos of LOL and gotta say the level in LOL is just rising. I can say it, LOL is not anymore a noob game. If you think LOL is for casual and noobs, i invite you go to play LOL, reach lvl 30 summoner and play ranked games(u cant play ranked before bein lvl 30) and tell me how exactly the other guys pwned you. Cause u wont pwn them. And adding LOL is well balanced, its not a retarded unbalanced game, the best player have the upper. So i will keep an eye of how LOL is evolving, cause if it continue like this. LOL will be the rival for dota in e-sports.

You do realise that this is season 2 prize pool? It means that 5 milion for WHOLE SEASON, that's longer than a year. Valve put 1,6 milion dollars in A SINGLE TOURNAMENT. You cannot compare RIOT to VALVE, valve is giant, riot is baby and cannot compete with valve. Also, I read some articles, Ice Frog and some dudes dunno, apparently, summed up majority of dota players, it's about 22 milions. LoL has 15 milions. Got the point?

Imo dota will always be better, harder, more competitive. LoL is too simple and easy. And don't talk me about high elo games, my neighbour is at 2.3 k ELO and I played with his account couple of games.


Also, I don't see the point of u making this thread :S LoL players (as kuroky said) don't know sh*t about dota (most of them), they are just I'd say jealous cos dota 2 exploded so hard and are trying hard to compete with that.

Also lol competitive scene is getting intense Many top players quitted and said they will go to dota 2, even Chaox from TSM (one of 4 best LoL teams) is considering it, he was dota player before (stara ljubaaaaav jos je voliiiiim, sry for non english ), tho I don't think he'll do it

LoL is not very balanced. Morello has no feeling for game. He plays sometimes with guardsmanbob and that's all. He overbuffs or overnerfs champs, only perfectly balanced champ imo is ashe. Also guinsoo ruined whole meta with last patch nerfing heals and supports in general

WCG is a top torunament and dota have dream and really fight for the spot. But they doesnt give it to them. LOL on the other hand is in the WCG that tells a lot about a game. I know 5 million is for the whole season i never say other thing.

I think that those 2 games will be fighting for the first spot. And its balanced, tyrdamere is a champion that really need a rework, for the other heroes theyre ok, I have seen imba players using any hero.

LoL was invited to wcg cos of massive impact it had over a year (ign people choice etc.) but dota heated it up for lol thru years. This year dota 2 is ign's top people's choice with 250k votes, above friggin Diablo 3, skyrim, assasin's creed revelations (or w/e it's called) etc. so I don't think LoL is gonna kick dota out of picture.

But yea, LoL is big, dota and lol are biggest moba games and there are quite alot moba games now

they trying to commulate  as many ppl as possible cause they know its hard to them against dota 2 or starcraft dota but now it seems they got upper hand but its cause of dota 1 is old and they got better graphic and on first view better conditions but still dota 2 is not out and they trying to grab ppl so they then wont go to this so its inter-times between two imba dota games so its hard times

Really... Counter strike can be competitive, starcraft 2, dota, whatever, even friggin fifa, but not LoL, cuz it's idiot friendly. It's like making some imba pro e-sport game from diablo 2.

well dude, LOL might not seem like a competitive game to you. But it is for a lot of other ppl. I have always sad, if you are good at something, theres someone better than you. That apply to LOL as well. So thats the basic of competition, If u add that ppl for whoever reason like to watch LOL games then u have a strong competitive game. Also LOL is getting a balance fix every two weeks. Noone say it was perfect but at least LOL is trying to balance the game. They always apply some changes to see how the ppl react and if its good it remains and if not that change gets removed. I mean RIOT is putting the community on a very high priority.

And i know even in the dota 2 videos. U can see some "wars dota vs lol" And they exist in almost every serious DOTA like forums. Dota have it complexity. LOL have it in a lower scale, but they add runes and masteries which have a hugh impact, making the champions more especialized.
