I dont agree on harsher bans. After all the PD.eu justice system is not designed to keep every little rulebreaker out of the community for good, but rather to encourage them to learn and change their ways. Even with decent people it can happen every now and then that they leave or afk. Shit happens, do these people deserve long bans for that? I dont think so.

Man, look at ban req in a good day when ppl play is almost a req per minute, this meen somthing and not a good one .. is not a good "change of way... " i say again people dont care about his accounts, and for real ppl like me for ex who care about his account don;t brake rules man...
I'm a decent guy and shit can happen for me but is happen once i recive a warn then i will pay atention to dont happen again i play dota or i go  to feed my cat or shop cos mom turn off my pc if not..? cmon...
Yes they deserved if leave always when i start dota then play dota ffs, cant stay 30-40 min with your face in a pc?

i give an ex. a guy who i reported him have few games anyway... and last 6 games have leaver, lost, lost, leaver, leaver, leaver... This idiot tell me dont deserved a perma ban? he screw many games with leaver and actualyy was host he hosted games on pd and i mentioned cmon can;t he recive a perma ban? but guess what he didnt recive...  he take one week and a warn... one week for a leaver leaver leaver? this guy don't play dota is leaving for masturbate... why do we need him? i dont need idiots on pd. i realy hate them

[...]leave the PD community, which will cost us many otherwise fine players who sometimes make mistakes (that's what our ban system is for, to correct them not expel them!).[...]

if they are fine players they dont brake rules(i don't), ppl who brake rule they aren't fine than... I ask you once again if it is one req per minute (and reconsider not all report bad asses) in this case do you see ppl start to change? No... and why's that? cos they make another account and wait ban to expire

Multiple accounts are a plague yes, but right now there is no reliable solution for that.

why ppl make accounts? cos they wait to expire ban for old account, but if you make ban mode harser many ppl will start to care about his account and will not be anymore a plague.

Ban ip is cheap solution anyone can do a proxy...

you realy are a optimist guy if you think it will be better... and system can corect them.

Theres always a chance that shit happens twice. Say you have to afk because something important's going on, but hey you happen to have that warn from 3 months ago. And wham we have a permban. Im sorry but this is just a bad idea.

i give an ex. a guy who i reported him have few games anyway... and last 6 games have leaver, lost, lost, leaver, leaver, leaver... This idiot tell me dont deserved a perma ban?

If you report him properly he will get a permban for serial leaving. Its unfortunate but mods have neither the time nor the resources to check every offender's history in extreme detail following some vague banrequest. If you are clear in your request (specifically mention that this guy is serial leaving) and post multiple gamelinks, Id permban. We have the warn system to flag rulebreakers, but when a host uses !bl no warn gets added.

if they are fine players they dont brake rules(i don't), ppl who brake rule they aren't fine than...

What you're saying is basically that anyone who drives through red light sometimes is a hard criminal and should be imprisoned for life. We already punish hard offenders like spam, bug abuse and mh as harsh as possible (with permban). Multiple offenders same thing, they get a permban after 3 or 4 offenses.

why ppl make accounts? cos they wait to expire ban for old account, but if you make ban mode harser many ppl will start to care about his account and will not be anymore a plague.

Actually I think it would have a reversed effect. Say I got permbanned for muting someone without reason. Id be like "wtf sod this" and create NEGERTIVS2, because just how retarded is it to get permbanned for something so small?

When on the other hand you ban someone for 3 days he's much more likely to sit out his ban and try and behave next time.

you realy are a optimist guy if you think it will be better... and system can corect them.

I prefer a positive approach to rulebreakers. It's a difference in ideology really. But I think harsh bans lead to more multiaccounting and not less. It will stimulate a "fuck it" attitude when you get hard ban for something small and make people more likely to just create another account.

Totaly agree with negertivs here. Changing the ban system in the above mentioned way would either encourage everyone to start making new accounts, or the population on pd.eu would fall by 90%. Now what good would that do? We would lose the serious players, and the multiaccounters would remain.

i just proposes a basic ideea you can improve it with warn expire at 1 month or less... and mute abuse is a sbjective think moderators can decide if it was an abuse or not...
anyway you totally disaccord from what i see... I hoped that there will no leaver in every game after all

y domagoj if 90% bad players and leave from pd i don;t cry after them i  prefered to play 10% of quality games, we dont lose serios players cos they dont brake rules
at check stats if i see X have no dota games... i kick them always and all hosts shold do this, don;t tell me .. ohh maybe is a new guy on dota...

But the harsher ban mode would drive away the decent players, not multiaccounters and idiots.. And, as it was said above, decent and serious players are also human, and the harsher ban mode would only make things worse for them in case they had to leave a game, afk or god knows what, and the situation with the multiaccounters wouldnt change, since they are already used to creating new accounts...

i think i speek chinese why they go away if  dont brake rules? i have almost 400 games and i got only 2 or 3 lost conections in this time, so i didnt brake a rule, is so hard to be repected  ? if i can, why do you think they dont ? are you a brake ruler or a serious guy?
i repeat myself if they are serios they wont brake rules=> they wont leave

and multiaccounters i think they dont want to start over and over only from the begining if they are perma baned...

forget it ....

Easier: remove ban/unban from forums. Anyone can make x accounts and spin them infinitely...

Make new, safelist/vouch system... And @least 50games for bot usage.

What you are proposing would be fine for any bot with a more elitist pool of players. However PD.eu intends to be open to casual players as well, that's imo the whole beauty of this bot. Anyone can play, it's easy to use and it's free. Putting a safelist in effect would probably make our casual players, who make up a large part of our userbase, play somewhere else rather than bother with all the trouble of vouching.

That would be interesting for the long term. Right now there already are alternatives for that (EB.net safelist).

Such a thing already existed on pd, but it was shut down because of low interest. It was recently brought up the idea of the resurrection of that league but atm there are more important things to do, but in the future it will be possible to make smth like that
