good items:
trades or boots (if u farm a lot)
armlet - most important
hood - good regen and spell reduce, and reduces your ult and BS penalty
dominator is not recomanded in early game becose u cant use Burning spear which is most imortan early game skill (u can autocast, but u dont get lifesteal), satanic is good in lategame ofc, especially with blademale
hearth - very important (with blademale even better)
dagger or lothar are very poverfull (against noobs especially) and good escape tools
ofc some people buy BKB becose when u activate bkb and cast yout ult on enemy, u  dont lose HP
i never buy him scepter cose 50% is enough for me, and with boot and dagger(lothar) ur limiting your inventory on 3 items (some may disagree but thats the way i play)
refresher 
playing with pugna is good combo. when pugna use Decrepify on target and huskar his ult after, targets loses 70% hp
some people buy vangard, but i think vangard is a waste on range heroes (some may disagree, but the will figure it out one day )
o for demage mkb or buriza,

@topic: PT for sure, it gives you much more needed bonuses, since you already got damage from the passive skill, and phase is now mostly used by carries to farm with bigger ease, pt is better option for sure.
@dagger yes, dagger over lothar allways, since lothar can be countered with items like dust, gem, even obs ward, and dagger cant, ehm, ok it can with radi, but its cost is 5k gold and i dont think you will take that just to counter some shit dagger

If u have time, to check this game, u will see that u dont need that so much of items to play huski, its 1 imba hero, well, BS are ftw skills, example, check ursas items, he cant get shit cuz i was harrasing them up, nothing, nothing, they have just stayed on tower.
Razor sometimes try harras, and they rush to us, but when they come close, ursa alrdy have 4-5-6 stacked BS, and he's retreating, so...
PT is the thing that i had, and i made triple kill with 200 hp...
If i had Phase = -200 hp = i would be dead alrdy...
Later i bought vanguard, just to survive a "bit" longer, i know it sux on ranges, but again gives some  hp, and some hp reg for sure, btw i had HoT too.
So dagger, blink behind some1, ulty. stack some BS, turn it of, and domi will do the job than
