New Rule "if u wanna host u need 50+ games played"

Mostly those guys that create account every 2 days, have 10~15 games. In my opinion we should just stick to the 50, but 25 or so would be good aswell. I think 10 isn't enough

yes your right 10 is less but 50 is too much! so the best value for games played should be like 15-25.

Y U got that right - it's not about the number of games - it's about making their old acc (with games played) more valuable for multiaccounters Thus making them more responsible.

10 games are not enough in my opinion. I stick for 50 even it can seems to many for someone. Ok it could be any number but hey... 10 is too few.

in the other side, bad hosts can take off the pleasure from the party.

Y i agree with this atitude - it's not about having a lot of games and thus being reliable, it's about not being able to instatnly host with new acc and thus avoiding ban...

Serious part: Let's say there are 4 pubber friends, they liked pd.eu and decided to play here... As none of them have xx number of games, joining a game could be hectic for them. I can't see any other bad effect it may cause. It would greatly reduce "I am host, I am god of this room, I can mute, I can leave without ban, I can flame, I can do anything..." minded dudes

To balance hardcore players with casual ones the limit could be like at least 20 games played, time passed since first game at least 1 week. So no one can make 100billion accounts and play 1 game with them to have a hosting account ready when he get banned or no one can mass play games to be able to host because they have no work/school...

I don't know how possible it is to implement in bot but that is my idea

I say 20-25 would be sufficient.
Also, this should only affect hosting ladder games (!pub, but not the .pub).

To a previous question, ways a bad host can ruin a game:

Abuse not being kickable (host can not be kicked):
- obvious MH
- feed
- feed on purpose, ruin game
- destroy items
- stay afk
- spam

(I have seen most of these in games.)

abuse powers:
- mute abuse (mute for "KS", mute for killing host, mute for asking for rmk, mute for asking for !synclimit etc.)
- muteall abuse (4v5, rmk situations etc.)
- ban abue: banning when he shouldn't (40% !rmk vote; 2v5 leavers - unban/ban takes 1-3 days, extra work for mods)

abuse game commands:
- synclimit to too high/too low
- -test mode
- using different mode than in gn (then ofc banning leavers)


Not to mention lobby abuses... There are some control freak kids out there. They know they will get banned in 2-3 days, then they go to mailinator and eurobattle.net and create a new acc in 2-3 minutes, and continue abuse.
20 games limit would mean he would have to behave for 2-3 days, which he can't do, so he will get banned before he could host. The upshot is, he won't be able to totally ruin games, and will eventually get bored, and go play troll somewhere else.

plain talking, once you would have sufficient games played, the bot would add a "dis guy can host like np" tick to your account in the DB, and there would be no automated process that would remove this; so season resets should be OK

Even when there are new seasons, the DB keeps the data from previous seasons. Even if you had played 18 games on the last season; if you played 32 games on the current season that'd add up to 50 games and it'd work (thinking it'd be 50 to be able to host).

This is a pretty good idea overall.

Zerind - great work with that list, but IMHO almost everybody can imagine "unproper host" coz everybody have a lot experiences with such ppl.
