Hello,

I have a pleasure to announce cooperation of playdota.eu with Ranked gaming client (RGC). After some time of hard work we have managed to connect playdota.eu bots to Rgc.

Rgc is small program, similar to garena, that allows you to play games, only warcraft III for now, but support for additional games will come in near future. You can download it from http://cdn.rankedgaming.com/client/RGC.zip
Just extract archive, and run rgc.exe, you will get window like this:

If you don't have account click register and make one. Login to the client and you will get main window




Ok, now brief tutorial how to play normal client games. See on the right, list of signed players, you click sign with desired mode and when 10 people sign, game will be hosted with the mode with most votes.  Then you go on lan, and you game. Note the name on the lan MUST be the same as client username or bot wont let you in.
There are a lot of communities and leagues on client, but i wont go in to them right now.

Now to get to playdota.eu, in order to join the channel type in chat /j playdota.eu( in preferences you can make it auto join playdota or any other channel on start). To see the games currently hosted, click the servers icon on the main window:



if you see the game you like, just go to Warcraft III, lan find it on the list and join it, again with the same name as Client nick. That is it. You will have new stats sheet with client nick, the bnet ones will not transfer.

Note: Ping you see on server window is twice as large as the lobby ping. That is because the ping in servers window is your computer -> server -> your computer again( the whole trip) and lobby ping is just Server-> computer( half way) so down worry, about it. Cut the number in half to get value you are used to.

Now about creating games, you can do it the same way as on bnet. Commands are the same.

Note: do to server crash we had to go live with a new beta version of client, if you encounter any bugs please report them at our forum ;)

First of all explain what is the point to play trough this client.
Is there any pluses or minuses comparing to standard connect trough the pvpgn bnet from channel playdota.eu.
About this 10 added members... System is identical as ODL league on W3 channel.

About this 10 added members... System is identical as ODL league on W3 channel.

That is because, as I have been informed, ODL is designed after our sign system. Everything started out with a dota community that I was coding hostbots for back on Northrend. It's a long story, but I'll cut it short. When Blizzard decided to introduce Warden and make my hostbots useless, I decided that it was time for a move. We then moved to xpam, where we were happy for a while. I do not wish to name and blame anyone, the xpm staff have been very helpful, but it wasn't what we were looking for. The servers became too unreliable and went down too often, so I decided to make my own platform: RGC.

RGC started out as a dota client for dotarank, but it started to become so much more, which leads me to the next section.

First of all explain what is the point to play trough this client.
Is there any pluses or minuses comparing to standard connect trough the pvpgn bnet from channel playdota.eu.

It's not very obvious and it is still unclear to many people what I want RGC to be. We moved away from bnet because there were too many technical limitations (40 users per channel) and Blizzard started to play God with its little patches. What has always annoyed me personally as a gamer, were the technical limitations imposed by game developers. What I always wanted was total freedom and that is something that I'm trying to give people with RGC. For me it is not only a gaming client, but also a platform for people to be creative and create great things. I'll give you a few examples: The whole client skin is modifiable and scriptable, you can translate the client into your own language and there are going to be more ways for developers to use RGC. As you have seen with playdota, the games are accessible over LAN, because the hostbots are using one of my APIs to communicate with RGC and displays its games to all users within a channel.

What I'm really keen on are leagues and communities. Almost noone seems to bother with player communities, and yet they are the one thing that keep games alive and going over many years. I personally believe that the map modding community (including dota, obviously) and the ability for people to create their own games within WC3 is the only reason why the game has survived so long. It's the ability for players to express their desires and channeling them towards improving the gaming experience as a whole for themselves, their friends and everyone else. That is exactly what RGC is about. People will be able to code chatbots/leaguebots, have their own clans, their own games history and much more to come on this client.
I want to develop it to a point where it can become a gamer's home. That's my goal.

Anyway to answer your question directly, at the moment there are no direct advantages other than having all open games in one place to look at and join, adding a community aspect to playdota, where you can gather with your friends to play games and chat. It's not only about gaming, of course we all enjoy playing the game, but we are also very social creatures and the chat, socialising and making friends is as important as playing the game to have a good time. this was the best sentence of all: "and Blizzard started to play God with its little patches", that is what I personally hate at blizzard, the patches! I rlly appreciate your work and your knowledge to make that client, and that you want to give opportunity to the ppl to play there.

I see nice alternative with available modifications for pvpgn's, and competition for Garena.
Many Garena similarities.
I would love to see players whos already joined to the game, and optional their stats. Would be nice if that would be possible before you join the game.

Just imagine how great it would be if on right side from "Players" box we could see "Stats" box.
For example you have look of server browser for FPP game:

If that is possible technically, I'll implement it. Every game is different, for example Warcraft III doesn't tell you who's ingame until you join the game lobby, a Quake II server might tell you straight away who's ingame. I'll have to see on what's doable and what's not, so I can't make any promises on that subject. But as you can see on the Servers window, that most of this is already implemented apart from the players + possibly stats.

Hi. I played few games now with RGC (3 acualy) 2 i left cause of lag. Now if you remeber Sir Rogers i was boring you yesterday about some things and i guess that problem with lag was my IPS, but i found out that while ingame you cant check ping, set latency, sync or mute ppl so what will happen next time i lag( wihout a reason) and no way of TRYing to fix it? Also as i have seen, i left the game and I was able to join again which means that i didnt get ban. Are leavers welcome there, cause there is no way of even trying to stop ppl from leaveing?

One question: while in loby ( playdota.eu game) i am asked to spoof check by /w, but every time i do /w it turns to be a fail, and when i type !sc it says that i am spoofed. So am i auto spoofed or something else???

This will change. It is a bug.
People from RGC can not join with a different nick.

We had Lag problems, but 2 days ago we got new server only for host bots, with impressive specifications, that should fix lag issues, actuality no complains for now :) Now about you leaving the game. You left in PUBLIC, we wont ban you for that. Why? well now imagine if eurobattle.net would ban anyone who leaves the game, blizzard bans you from bnet, coz you left some public game, etc.. But there are other communities on RGC, like dotarank, playdota, dpl... Some of them are skill based (dpl) and others like dotarank, only manners. For example dotarank, has strict rules about flaming leaving etc. and it is place whele you can have casual leavers and retards free games.

About spoofcheck, you cant spoof nick if you play on client, bot wont let you join in if your nickname is different then on client.
