Where's that game??
« on: January 01, 2011, 12:48 »
Today I created game, during pick one of the player lagged out.

7/9 players voted to rmk, only two tards did not. I told them to read rules and that they will be reported for that. After nervous few minutes one team mate kickafk me (I did not pick at all). I wanted to report those 2 who violated rules, but I can't find the game in my stats...

-Why?

Didn't count, try to remember one of your teammates' nick and search in their games

Because you have not chosen a hero. Try searching in your team's/enemy's stats page.

You can not force players to vote. 6/9 players are enough to rmk the game, at any game state (even after playing 60 mins).

I was trying to find some, but I do not remember their names correctly ... What you mean I can not force? Rules says I should force them, but I have no tool to do so.

Anyway, what kind of punishment would they receive for this?

Please quote the rule that says so. I think I perfectly know what I've written.

Absolutely none.

And I repeat: The bot will remake the game if atleast 6 of 9 players in game vote for rmk. When the 6th player types !rmk, the bot will print a message and end the game in max 60 seconds, if there are still players ingame.

Ok then, why the bot is not configured properly to rmk the game automatically when 40% of players vote rmk in 1st 10 minutes of the game??? I think it would be possible.

So I do not know exactly how the bot consider votermk, you're right 6/9 players leads to remake, so it was 5/9 voted, anyway more than 40%, isn't it?

Code: [Select]
Game owner must take control of the game
Game owner is responsible for the stability of the game
I understand these two that I must take care that everyone will follow the other rules (though I expect the 1st one is meant about bot commands, it can also be meant in the other senses). But I guess you will tell me your own explanation of these two. Maybe the expression of was not ideal then. But this thread is not about this at all, I was just wondering where the game has gone, and I was looking for that game for case I got some ridiculous result like lost, or do not even want to think of it, leaver.

Cheery bye for now.

Neither of the rules is set in the bots, because rules change easily. But changing the bots isn't easy and happens once every # months.

The rule is written perfectly.
Quote from: Rules
If 40% of users in game complain about unplayable conditions (with !rmk) in the first 10 minutes of the game, all players have to leave (and game owner can rehost the game).
In your case, you were free to leave. But you can NOT force others to vote.

And did not have to be mean to me :(
I'm usually a calm and kind person. I have not meant to do so.

Thanks, and few last noobs questions.

If I left that game, I would get draw result? And when game is draw, nothing of it counts to stats?

No idea. You should not worry about what it says on your stats page. It is quite buggy.
And when game is draw, nothing of it counts to stats?
For the stats to show on the game link, the Throne/Tree has to be destroyed, or the map to declare the game as finished.
For the stats to count in the ladder, the game has to a DotA Ladder Game. Such games are hosted only with the !gopub or !gopriv command (not .gopub, nor .gopriv). The game has to start with 10 players. The game mode must not include -wtf and/or -test. The Tree/Throne has to be destroyed.

If I leave and they continue playing (since I balanced), then the game finishes ... then what?  :o (In case I already pick).
