A problem that lies beyond
« on: November 27, 2010, 16:55 »
In continuation of this thread I am writing because I think closing a thread when the discussion is not over is not the solution to a problem or the problems you face.

I don't want to write a wall of text, so I'll keep it short:

Wether someone left a game during the load or was simply disconnected is something that a host shall not be overlooking. If it was not intentional the banned player will open an unban thread and will describe the situation what had caused the disconnection. After that you unban the player if you feel that he is not lieing and the proof is strong enough to warrant that unban.

That's a working system, and I don't see the reason to punish a host for doing his job: banning a leaver. It's not the host that has to go after the case and find out wether the player maliciously plugged or just simply got DQed. Obviously all players, the host and the other 8 players in the game would like to play instead of doing what's the ban appeal moderators' job is. I know you guys are doing all this for free (or at least I suppose you don't earn money for your hard work), but that's not a reason to act cocky with people you are fed up with. I know that being a moderator is not an easy task, and I don't say I have always been righteous with my decisions back then when I was leading my forum section, so I do believe that everyone involved in these cases shall not be angry with you either.

Do the right thing and remove NEGERTIVS' ban as you did with pussy's one and soften up a bit. :)

Have a great white snowy day!

This is under review.

The user that finds discomfort on the decision taken by the moderator on him needs to handle this directly with a Head Moderator (MrNiceguy or ek0).

Again, I would like to say that if you want to submit a formal complaint you must contact a head moderator directly.
