that's just not right
« on: November 08, 2010, 17:33 »
i've made 2 ban requests on the reason that pro ppl join noob game with the reason stats abuse rule doesnt exist anymore ( i know that i've read the new rules) but how is that a stat abuse by joining and raping us all?...its harassment...and its ruining a game..which is also forbbiden if im not wrong?so there is my question how are other people who arent dota maniacs are supposed to play...just bossing some1 else's stats?..or just keep on dieing..thats just not right.

yes you are 100% right they removed this rule cause in the next bot release if:

*a noob joined pro game he will have less points if he win but if he loose he will loose alot points

*a pro joined noob game he will also have the same

* and if a noob joined noob game and win he will have alot points  and if he loose he will loose less points

and the pro is same

This will be implimented in the next bot release and the new ranking system...hope i helped you :)

If you play vs lower skilled players and win, you'll get low score and they will lose a few points.
If you play vs lower skilled players and lose, you'll lose lots of points and they will get high score.
If you play vs higher skilled players and win, you'll get high score and they will loase lots of points.

well yah that did help...but i'm still thinking it's not right AT THE MOMENT...what can we do about those lol...it's really annoying how every time i join a noob game i'm not sure if i should stay or leave..if they are all noobs or just pro's looking to ruin the game..or maybe a host who hand picks his crew...you never know >.> so that's really frustrating.

Yet this doesn't solve the situation if pro joins noob game to roflpwn them solo with mort. Yes he won't get those valuable stats, but that doesn't mean he cares ( but i guess the other 9 or at least 5 pple DO care).

I don't think that some pro will join a noob game just to win and get (example) 2 points.
While he can join a decent pro game and get the average (example) 10-16 points for winning.
Also if the pro that joined the noob game loses, he will lose (example) 20-30 points.

I think you missed his point. There are lots people who will join noob games just because eg. they had a bad day and now they want to bash some noobs to think higher of themselves. But i guess it shouldnt be a problem since hosts will be able to kick them in lobby..

true...but in lobby you don'y really know if his a pro or noob..you would have to check his previous games in playdota.eu stats section...and doing that to erm 9 ppl it kindda takes some time.

you should decide, are you playing just for fun or for score?

if for score, pro joining noob game, pawning noobs and getting low score shouldnt be a concern for you.

if for fun, you can create dota as a custom game with .gopub and have fun.

Just like XenyStyle said pro people would join to get the score...it's their deicision alright but what about the other people ...the 1 guy ruins the game of other 9...that's just not right.

Well you see, most of the normal players here play for fun (what else would someone want to play a video game for?) and dont give a rats ass about the score, and the ones that do are easily recognisable by their 13-4-1 scores, but the reason people play here is that abusing or disregarding rules is bannable, so there will be much less leavers and other types of ruiners than on other bots. Why you cant have fun with .gopub is because in 95% of cases someone will leave, afk, ruin the game because he knows he wont get banned.

Nothing is perfect mate, what can you do.

Pro people will still join noob games but i believe the percentage they join will be lowered a lot.
