New Command

Hi everybody. I've been reading about the problems that !ff command have so I've written an email to icefrog.


"MESSAGE TO ICEFROG": Hello. I'd like to show you a new "needed" command in DotA Allstars map.

The command would be -ff (forfeit): This command should be typed by 1 team (full team) to surrender. If a team knows they will lose 100% but game will be running for 20 minutes more, they will be able to type -ff and their "Ancestral throne" will be AutoDestroyed.

This has been his answer.

"MESSAGE FROM ICEFROG": Seems you primarily need the stats to update better since you could parse any commands or rules yourself. I'll work on it for 6.68

Sounds interesting, but can it be abused somehow?

yep like that many teams will surrender after 10 min of game and a lot of time spent for game start, load , start chose hero if sd or ap etc.... will be losed i think that idea is not that good it seems ok but not 100% ok,


mybe the ff command would good if it can be like this:

-ff comand u can use after 20 min or 30 min of game and only if you have one leaver, or two players that have 0 kills

I agree with this...too much time will be spent with !FF command....

And the situations when is clear that you lost? Example : One uber noob with 1/10 in minute 7 is not impossible.

Those situations are rare, and trust me the game is not lost till the frozen goes down, fight till the end.
For me its a stupid comand, whats the fun in playing for 20 min and they ff the game , coz i have seen ppl forfeit on the first sign of a lost game.

Still whole team have to type -ff.
If you got mega noob in game who dont know how to -ff, you can always kick him with help of winning team.

great, now this means that everytime some stats suckers are losing they'll spam it till their team agrees

I'm gonna talk with Icefrog about all your disapointments to make a fair command.

Anyway, remember that you are playing a free game so if you think something is wrong you can make 2 things:

1- Don't play dota.
2- Explain your ideas to IceFrog.

And sorry ek0, he didn't tell me anything about this because I'm sure that he even doesn't know that, so I will let him think about this for 1 week. After that, I will send him another email and I will give you all more information about this command.

I meant date and time of the message you sent and recieved (when was it?)...

I send him the message yesterday morning and he answered to me yesterday afternoon... about 15:00
