Blizzard DotA for Starcraft 2 Announced!

After having so many DotA Genre games like League of Legends, Heroes Of Newerth and Valve's DotA2The PC games giant Blizzard has announced 4 new maps for StarCraft 2 on the opening day of BlizzCon 2010. Surprisingly, Blizzard's DotA was one of it. Blizzard developers said that StarCraft 2 DotA will be based on Warcraft 3 DotA by IceFrog. All the heroes, items, farming even the whole gameplay style will be implemented in the upcoming Blizzard's DotA.


Blizzard DotA:

Wage war with the most powerful heroes from Blizzard Entertainment's game universes in this explosive new multiplayer game.

Blizzard's greatest heroes have been drawn from their respective  universes to do battle on a chess-themed battleground. You control a  hero and must level up, buy items, and work together with your teammates  to defeat waves of units and ultimately destroy the opposing team's  King Tower.Blizzard DotA map for StarCraft 2 will be released in near future via Battle.net. It will be free for everyone who owns a copy of StarCraft 2. Till now, We can predict that Blizzard's DotA is more likely to be a sci-fi oriented DotA. Blizzard is updating StarCraft 2 engine, map editor and continuously adding features so it can support the Blizzard DotA.

Blizzard has not announced any official StarCraft 2 DotA release date yet but it is expected be released in near future. Also, Valve is coming up with DotA 2 in 2011. I agree...dota is dota, HoN, LoL and other shit can't compare with dota!!!In my opinion...and when dota 2 comes out I think every 1 will try it but continue playing w3 DotA...

Well, dota 2 will be the same game as w3 dota, just with better graphics and engine. So ppl will probably play it, i know i will. The only people that will continue playing w3 dota will be those who cant afford dota (which shouldnt be too expensive), or ppl that have too old computers.

dota2 maybe isnt actual dota, but isnt same shit like hon and lol cause have same developer and same models. i think the better of dota is high level balance... if dota 2 get that, will be nice game.
old computers? if developers think about that, they succes... just put high ranged video options like wow have..

Dota 2 will be 70% old dota with same visuals because hon is shit for visability and dota has perfect mix of colours and hon and lol are just too complicated,,,,

As for star craft 2 it will be just another aeon ( fogoth real map type name) like other maps like dota (dday,aeon of frost)just different platform and it is srarcraft...pity is blizz made that map it will be just commercial map like hon and lol are ,all about effects etc...probably...i hope dota will leave its original design.

Your right is not dota 2 is not dota. It will be better than dota. I don't understand how smoother game play and better graphics will make it inferior to dota. It will still have the exact game play. Once it comes out, good bye w3.....

yea thats true ,like counter strike,there will be always people who will play old original dota and good luck it keeps that way ,i wouldnt llike icefrog quits original dota and only works on dota 2...i wonder just will both dota and dota 2 develop in same direction,i mean all balance improvments will be changed or there will be certanly new updates or patches for dota2 when new map is released like in wow....
