I make dagger on every hero...its not noobish item in fact is for pros...u can evade everythink lets start from tide ulti i evade it many times or tiny stun...btw for centaur is very needed when u have good suport...and when u only tenk u dont need...

Dagger is multiple use items so it is good on each hero for avoid nuke ,denying stuns etc and also for escape and most of all use aoe...

If you have aoe team ALL should get dagger becuase aoe rape is best when you do it by suprise ,when you go ahead on them and start use aoe they can react and avoid half of spells but if u all blink at same time if u ward area where theyr are you can just watch them die..

FDor those with low mowement speed and they have nukes like lion dagger is mega usseful but only if u kill a lot and u have double use of it -easy escape so u wont risk much if they kill you over fed and if you run more with dagger they will get pissed and lose concentrasion more and second use killing more enemies becuase u can easily stun hex ulti anyone

There is not best tank really but if you guys want to test it with me in game wiht -tst mode we can figgure out pros and cons of all this heroes and say which one has least cons and most pros..u can find me on nick below or pm we test each hero for nukes mega dmg ,team fights etc

"Centaur is NOT a tank. any decent player will ignore him in team fight, and he has no way to force enemy to attack him.

Axe is the only real tank, cause he has berserk.

Farmed Medusa is another pseudo tank late game. cause she is the only hero what can tank a lot and do crazy amounts of dmg at the same time, thus enemy is forced to take her down first.

BB if gets radiance fast, can be anoying tankish hero. cause with radiance and quills he will become the first target. but later on when radiance and quils dont do that much dmg anymore or he doesn't manage to get a fast radiance he can be ignored in team fight.

in dota you have to be able to deal considerable dmg or screw up team fights for enemy somehow to get focused. just then you will be a tank. if you have 6000k hp but you deal no dmg, you're no tank"

Maybe u are right, but as i said before u can use dagger with centaur to stun 4or 5 enemy heroes, then the rest of your team will kill 1 or 2, which will make it 5v3 or 5v4 action... and btw when 5v5 every team must have at least 1 or 2 heroes with hp lower than 2k if ppl are farmed well they can destroy this 2k hp in 2 sec... what are u talking about man.. cent's stun is 2.75 or 3 sec... it is never useless.

The point is if you are tank than you should get attacked first, and you are supposed to die first so you can provide your carries with enough time to slash through opponent team... That means if you are not brainless you will first eliminate high-dps heroes and than high-hp ones, like Cent, Tide etc. Axe is different, because he will do Berserk Call and force you to attack him (while benefiting from your attacks) and because of that ability he is only 'true' tank. hm.. i got ur idea now.. nice thinking but u can always stay away from each other so when "Axe" makes "taunt" u can evade it, even if he has dagger same shit with centaur... unless u are fighting idiots.

why everyone says centaur axe and bristle... there are so many others chars that can tank in a game... as i see noone said anything about davion... why? :/ he is one of the best tanks in dota. what about pandaren brewmaster? what about enchantress... noone said anyhting about them... tank cant be named only a str hero... i have played enchantrees and i have made BoT- vanguard- Pipe-mekansm-assault and shivas... and with untouchable and Nature's Attendants is easy to die?. enchantrees for me is one of the best tank-supporters heros (as omnyknight as well ). I agree axe centaur and bristle are at top tanks in dota but all i want to say is there are so many other and you talk about those 3

Davion was mentioned many times. Enchantress is way too squishy to be a tank, unless she farms a lot. She can be brought down with a few nukes, slowing enemy's attack speed doesn't help much.
There are many formidable "tanks" and some are more useful than other, depending on the situation.
Axe is falsely described as the only tank. His taunt is so short it's basically just another disable (same as stun, almost), he doesn't taunt heroes permanently to attack him.

Tanks can be found in any kind of tavern (int/agi/str).
Among the best would be:
Radiance carriers - BB, alchemist, treant, omni, abbadon, spectre, davion, axe(?)
Other - leoric(situational, fragile to mana burn), medusa, necrolyte, cent, maybe even visage and dark seer (far from THE best, though)

ench can be good "tank" in early game because of wisp. still it isnt actual tank because she is weak as hell. in late game ench dies in second with any items against any agi killer with even items compared to ench.

The best tank ever is alchemist,ulti gives imba regen,hp,ms and acid spray lowers armour + 4 sec stun imbaaaaaaaaa.
