No reason of extending already autobanned players

I have never understood why there is a tendention not to ban people (while solving ban requests) that are already autobanned.
I see complete zero profit of this;

Imagine you posted ban request, spent your time to report someone, while hoping to make the server better (more strict rules - more punishment, more clean gameplay; "iron gauntlet").
You wait day or few, sometimes even a week or more, this player already forgot about what he did (people got really fish-level memory here), he plays tons of games after rule breaking moment, he does not change his attitude, behaviour; Then he just gets raged in some game and quits it voluntarily, usually with accepting autoban beforehand.

So, basically, he just quits and adds his ban himself, fully accepting this and treating it as "team was shit, i do quit", - epic rhymes here
Case of reported rule breaking is already forgotten by him, he keeps playing in his fashion after ban (or while ban, in case he avoids, - does not matter here)

And then mister moderator comes and says (quite often) - this player is already autobanned, i see no point in extending ban.
But the fact is - player is not punished for reported rule breaking, he received no lesson, next time he will repeat same and others will repeat it too.
Player often can not even noticed about report in this case, so he may not know if he offended someone and it was not correct;

I never liked this part of reporting system ! It is awful part in my opinion

If autoban is only 1-2 days(which is sometimes), and player was also ruining before leaving, it makes perfect sense to ask for more, and to extend it.

Ideally, it should not come to this situation at all, meaning the requests shouldn't pile up for weeks before being solved. But if it already came to this situation, it makes perfect sense to extend the ban duration too (doesn't have to be full duration, more like autoban + sanction*0,5, like in american court adding duration of crime punishments). Actually manny things on server does not have  sense, my last Ip ban is rly for discussion and why that happen, but thats happened and ppl who did that should ask themselves where is that going, after all i doubt i come back to play on server, hf guys anyway I m going to miss you.

So u are saying that players to escape bans from reports they leave the games right? I dont think they do that in purpuse and even if they do they should get autobanned plus an added ban for the offense they were reported. I have never seen someone not adding bans unless he was reported for leAving the game which he got the ban for it. Why dont u bring some profs first as an example?
Also im againts long bans,even for one day or two he will get the lesson belive me. If u ban someone for 1 or 2 weeks he will just create another account and be active on that one but if u ban him for a day most likely he will wait for the ban to expire cuz he does care for the the account.

That 'i will not extend his autoban' is quite common case here over all those years
The fact of seeing such semi-denied reports annoyed me hard

That is maybe because b&u staff have changed many times during the years but if it is like u saying i have to agree with u then.
