lagg problems..

i am tired right now to search for any other topics releated to this one soo i will be short and simple...

i have had some problems with lags and spikes throughout all game..now i ask is it possible that firewall can cause such problems?? i often finish games and go to the channel menu but instead there it says that i was disconected from bnet... how is that possible when i was playing for at least an hour?? if any one really knows, tell me and i wont turn on firewall ever again when i play bnet...

Firewall shall not couse spikes and lags. It blocks unwanted connections and closing ports.
Your Warcraft3 and other online games should be allowed to connect by default. Also your router should have exeption to allow connections from battle.net (all servers) and its looks like this:

Name    Trigger    Public Port    
Battle.net   6112-6119   6112-6119

Spikes are caused by antivir programs and specialy by viruses. Also default installed programs like winamp, adobre reader, skype, winrar, winzip are checking for updates and making unnessessary connections in worst moment.

A lot of ppl had lag last night too, i think it was battle net cause on one moment it was shut down.

so it is not up to you fatality it s them.

hmm thx man but i think it is truly me... i am not in my home town where my net connection is good and last night i did not lag at all in a game where i had my antivirus and firewall off all time...so i guess when i am here on this net connection then it must be firewall, cuz i see no other reason...
and i have all those default programs off and quited before i enter bnet..

anyway thx to both for posting...see ya in game
