fps drop

hi after I changed my monitor to a better one i started to have incredible fps drops that I only see frames every 5 sec in fights.Can it be the resolution change? since i used lower one before now i use 1440x900.Also not only in game even when i watch videos on youtube it lags sometimes what can i do about this? my graphic card is NVIDIA GeForce GT 430. help pls

I forgot to add I use windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.I was able to play 3 games at the same time with my older monitor

It has nothing to do with the monitor i think. Resolution/refresh rate can be the problem, maybe vertical sync. Try variating these, and make sure you use your new monitor's native resolution. A gt430 shouldn't have any problems with a game like war3, and i guess you have a decent cpu for this card as well, so the problem must be some settings related. Also you should turn off aero in win7, sometimes it consumes shitloads of resources.

It's not really big resolution, W3 should run flawlessly even tho you have a very low end card.

Try to install the latest drivers for your card from nvidia website.

I updated the drivers , changed lockfb to 0 from 1 in regedit , did some cleanings with ccleaner its not as bad now but problem not fully disappeared.I played with resolution little bit no change in problem it seems.maybe useful i use  intel core2 duo cpu  E6750.5v5 fights still frame by frame.should I try reinstalling w3 ?

I don't think it will help if your videos are stuttering too it's not w3's fault.

maybe try running it with the -opengl command, this way war3 will use opengl not directx, which can help in fps increase.
