interesting but kinda irrelevant. Why would new players go back to diablo2 when they have 3 and maybe even 4 by the time it will be finished? As for nostalgic ppl...i doubt they are so many. Also they would probably prefere the old interface. As for w3...it would probably be better to make a warcraft 4 than throw a new "paint" on an old game and hope for...don't really know what. I checked the stores from time to time. Warcraft3 is almost completely gone from the market. Ppl moved on...

Still...all good things have an end. I am glad though that you are all so enthusiastic. I hope you are right and the game will be indeed saved. It would be worth seeing the server full again like in the good old days.

Server being empty does not necessarily means the Game lost on Quality , it may also mean people lost the idea of what Quality is.
Dota2 took over players because it is more Noob-Friendly , and it has shiny shit.

Games doesn't lose quality. Games aren't something that goes bad over some period of time.

I'd call it a progress.

You can say Nokia 3310 was good phone and had its quality. Yet I'm sitting here with my Lumia and I'm not willing to go back. In few years I'll have new, diffrent phone but that doesn't mean my Lumia is bad.

After the recruitment 2 things might happen to wc3:

1. Wc3 will be moved to battle.net 2.0 which will result in getting more players (of course this doesnt count for those who have pirated wc3, this counts for ppl like me who are true wc3 lovers and actually bought wc3)

2. Wc3 will get a remake into "hd version" just like the one with age of empires 2 that happened where the gameplay will be the same just with better quality.

I really hope they won't go same way as AoE and AoM - you can get these with enhanced graphics for 20€ (+10€ expansions each) or 28€ respectively.
