After reinstalling my Windows7, I copied already installed W3 from USB (as I always do), but it did not work..So I reinstalled only XPAM client, and then after running it (as Administrator) it gave me an error You are missing some display drivers and/or DirectX 8.1 or higherI installed then DirectX 9 and few more programs that might causing the problem (like .NetFramework, Microsoft C++ Redistributable) but still it didnt work. And the strange thing is that when I go to Device Manager it doesnt report any missing drivers (maybe because its not genuine and it sucks )note: I also didnt had Sleep in Shutdown Options (all others I had: Log Off, Switch user, Restart, Hibernate...) so a friend told me I am deffinetly missing dispaly drivers. After manualy finding some of them (2/6 i think), I was finally able to enter W3 and play dota. But, I have lag now Its like Im playing on pentium 3.. My net works perfectly thou, costant ping at 20-30 ms. In some huge fights, I have a slideshow..And its not the PC that makes it lag (it used to run perfectly smooth before reinstalling windows) cus I have 4 GB RAM & Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU B950 @2.10 GHz 2.10 GHz which is enough for a 10 year old game It has to be the windows (and drivers) that is causing the problems.. Can a game lag due lack of drivers? If anyone encountered the same problem, and solved it, please let me know
Probably you installed ultimate x64 and it freezes your processor.QuotePentium(R) CPU B950 @2.10 GHz 2.10 GHz This processor is not good for x64 bit , reinstall windows and go with HOME Basic x32 (x86) bit and problem solved.

I had the very same problem last year, after reinstalling windows, which was Ultimate x64Spoiler for Hiden: Quote from: LexMonsterAfter reinstalling my Windows7, I copied already installed W3 from USB (as I always do), but it did not work..So I reinstalled only XPAM client, and then after running it (as Administrator) it gave me an error You are missing some display drivers and/or DirectX 8.1 or higherI installed then DirectX 9 and few more programs that might causing the problem (like .NetFramework, Microsoft C++ Redistributable) but still it didnt work. Wait, does wc3 run on OpenGL or DirectX? I know that AMD cards in general have horrible OpenGL support, and that laptop is using one. Anyway, it might be just some driver issue in gerenal, if not related to libraries, then to win10.Another (most likely missed) shot int he dark would be windows dragging wc3 through all cpu cores to balance the load, despite wc3 being single thread program. You can try to set cpu affinity from task manager and see if binding it to single specifc core helps at all (probably won't unless you have other cpu heavy apps running as well). On the sidenote, I used to play on really, and I mean REALLY low-end netbook, where getting 30+ fps at peak was possible only by looking at fogged trees somewhere in map corner, and only early game. If you think 30 fps is a case of lag, then you've seen little
I gave up on this honestly..Try to play any game with alot of units together, the game will lag a bit.Same is happening to DotA here.Just think its APU or iGPU not being strong enough when alot of units are together.I just was worried something was wrongly done, since the games cap is 59-62fps, and since other poeple mentioned the issue on hiveworks about getting low fps.w/e
