la bot hosts with gproxy active even on custom games, no matter what gateway you choose, if u choose normal gateway you cant enter your own game either

ppl who play custom games generally dont use gproxy

go install dota 2 reborn and play custom games there

When hosting other map than DotA (ladder) u dont need to run Gproxy gateway and just use the other one... afaik it should let others to join your game without Gproxy coz you have created that game w/o Gproxy - I havent done this for long long time so give it a try and let me know in case its not as I have said.

Well, even if he joins battlenet without gproxy, if he creates the game by lagabuse bot, ppl will need gproxy to join afaik. Only way to do what he want is to join bnet without gproxy and host his game by himself. Without la bot.
Or he can use another hostbot for custom games, like enthosting.
