I gotta say there always were differences between D1 and D2, I don't know how it is now, or in last version.
But some spell piercing magic immunity in D2 but not in D2, being able to Hook hero in <some state> only in D2...

As div.ide once said, DotA and its mechanisms are getting too complicated for W3...

Icefrog could have followed DracoL1ch & ResQ' LoD for new skills to ensure them work, they brought most of dota 2 content way earlier comparing to them.

I don't see a reason why not make this to official lagabuse.com game, instead putting it into custom game. If there are bugs, I am sure icefrog will fix them asap.

As Astaroth and div.ide said, warcraft 3 engine is not good enough for latest version, no one will (and no one should) bother to fix warcraft 3 engine to update dota map here when the population of dota is continously getting lower and they can just go dota 2 for it with no engine bugs (there are some there too but smaller ones).
