thats quiet weird, you can check, if its PC or network related lag (ie. check performance during lag, also your GFX may be an issue, or just random WiFi interferences).

Logically you shouldn't experience any lag because of the pc with those ridicolous specs, so either your internet has periods of random lag every second game, either there were updates to windows/antivirus every second game, either you simply have some "smart" virus/spyware/malware which activates on your pc only when the application you are in (eurobattle) was used for enough time for the virus/spyware/malware so you won't think about removing them, either it's simply too old of a game for your pc (games which are old sometimes simply don't "work" on highly improved pcs), either it's some windows 7 conspiracy lag to make you buy windows 8. (which isn't that unlikely by the way)

To me from all the above, the one which makes most sense is a smart virus/spyware/malware which simply detects how active you are in your current application, and chooses to launch itself the second time you are active. (since you're not so active in a channel or lobby as you are in playing)
It could have a simple mouse click/keyboard click detector implemented in it, which can easily tell when you are active, so it can easily launch itself when you're not thinking about it, for it to work undisturbed.

I've read your posts again, first you said you lag only second game, now you said you lag only first game. This says that, if you have a virus/spyware/malware it's not as smart as the one described by me above, or your windows/antivirus were just having updates, or your internet had periods in which it wasn't working properly, or your pc is too good for this game.

Also, you really should elaborate the "lag", incase you don't know what it means and you ment to say something else, like low fps, delay, "waiting for user to disconnect" ... which is it ?

If low fps, clearly it's unrelated to internet, and it's very related to some virus/spyware/malware or your pc being too good for this old game.

If delay, clearly internet was not so great at that period, or some update, or virus/spyware/malware.

If "waiting for user to disconnect", clearly bad internet period, or some update, or again virus/spyware/malware.

maybe related to DirectX and graphic card...
I would try uninstal DirectX & Graphic driver, reboot & instal it again...drivers first and DirectX after that. (also look for 64bit drivers, since u have 64bit system and 32bit drivers at the moment)
