Look, the point of this place is to play games.
As we all know, this isn't the nicest community with smartest ppl, many players are moving to DotA 2. We have to deal with it and try to keep this running, we need to make some kind of balance.

If we'd ban everyone for every single offence, players would leave and/or would be angry for being punish for 1 word.
Also, if we don't ban anyone, games would be a horror and ppl would leave as well.

We won't "convert" all these ppl into nice players, that is just not possible. We want to keep ppl playing here, no new guys will come.

This is internet where everybody is hero and insulting is very common (I still don't understand why would anyone insult my family, that seems retarded to me), you just have to get over it. Try focusing on what's important for game.
He called you motherfucker or called your mom a bitch once or twice. Well, fuck it, ignore it and keep playing.
If somebody destroys your items, your game is probably fucked, you can't get thousands of gold back.

When I became B/U mod, I was happy that I can ban these ppl when I play with them.
Some time later I started ignoring some rule breaking until it was too much. I don't really mind some family related flame if used twice, afk for valid reason even tho it makes me loose or being tossed in wrong moment. I think I'm calm guy but I also have some limits - you made me angry and I'll punish you.

You don't have my experiences so you probably see it in the other way but trust me, when I ban anybody I know it was just one fish in the ocean, I won't really help this place - that guy will make new acc in a minute. If there'd be some multiaccounting or ban evading protection...

total nonsense.u dont know the man(respectif),u dont know what is offensive to him,u dont know if he is religious or not etc.so if some1 calls him son of a bitch(which is a curse lets be honest),he takes time to report player,does everything according to rules still he gets denied.so what do u do?find some middle ground.although son of a bitch is usually not considered as a flame maybe sometimes u have to bend it a bit.lets say for flaming is 3 day ban,this is not hard flame,so u ban the guy for 1 day + 1 warn.respectif would get his satisfaction,flamer would have warn so he would think twice before flaming again and everyone happy

I indeed don't know what and how much is offensive to him.
I appreciate his try to make this better place but again, if I ban everyone for everything, there would be nobody to play with. So I'm trying to find some middle way.
Rules aren't perfect and we aren't programmed machines to obey them on 100%, we have to include a human part.

Where you are wrong is the last part. That guy, apaleutos, wouldn't give a single fuck, probably wouldn't even bother to check why is he banned. He'd swap to other account and keep playing. Or he'd made new acc with higher PSR...

Such an error does not happen again hopefully! You must always apply the rules, for me or for everyone. This  is very importand... May not be important to you)
