New heroes

Why are the new heroes more and more imba with every new version? Icefrog drunk or wtf?

Mb it is to keep the interest in dota1. This way they are imba, so many ppl want to play them, cause its new, strong etc. Later on they will be nerfed. If they make shit heroes as new ones, nobody would give a fuck about them you wont pick them cause you know they are shit, and in overall that would be like no new hero at all. ----> ppl leave dota1

Imo it's the other way around. New heroes are imba, so gameplay is IMBAlanced, so ppl go better play d2 where aren't these uncounterable heroes added yet. I'm talking from my own experience cause my rl friends left d1 to d2 cause new heroes are imba and old ones are too weak and shit...

True. At least they didnt add the new heroes instantly to captains mode, so it only affects public games.

It does not matter as game is balanced around highest competitive play and none of the newer heroes are in CM. Besides he prioritizes balancing Dota 2 hero pool as D1 scene cannot be compared to one D2 has.  Considering last year, patch will come soon after TI3 with nerfs to some standard pick/ban heroes (bat, wisp, visage,naix, alch...) and buffing some forgotten heroes (Lycan, WD, Invoker, TA...)
